Had enough of YouTube Premium? Here's how to cancel your subscription quickly and simply across a range of devices.

YouTube Premium is an ad-free version of YouTube that still offers subscribers all of YouTube's original production, in addition to YouTube Music, cancel YouTube Premium, and it is also possible to download the videos to watch offline.
What to do to cancel YouTube Premium
The process is very simple. It is also worth mentioning that when canceling the service, if you are still within the trial or payment period, you can continue using the premium version until the date of the billing cycle, without problems. The service will only be suspended after this date.
To cancel YouTube Premium, follow these steps:
- Open youtube.com on your browser;
- Click on your profile icon, in the top-right corner of the screen;
- In the drop-down menu that opens, select the option “Purchases and Memberships.”;
- Find the section “Premium” and click on Manage Membership;
- The Premium section will expand and you’ll be able to click on “Deactivate”;
- YouTube will ask if you don't want to just pause the subscription. You’ll have to click on “Continue to Cancel” to proceed with the cancellation;
- YouTube will ask the reason you’re cancelling the subscription;
- After selecting one of the reasons provided, click on Next;
- You’ll be prompted to confirm the cancellation one last time. So, click on “Yes, cancel”.
How to loop a YouTube video?
Looping a YouTube video allows you to play it continuously without having to manually press play again. This can be useful for background music, studying, or simply enjoying a video over and over again. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to loop a YouTube video on both desktop and mobile:
Desktop:
- Open the video you'd like to loop on YouTube.
- Right-click anywhere on the video player.
- In the pop-up menu, choose the Loop option.
Mobile:
- Open the YouTube app and navigate to the video you'd like to loop.
- In the video player, tap the cogwheel in the top right corner (it might be a three-dots button or simply a More button).
- In the pop-up menu, tap the Single Loop option to keep the video on repeat.
- Note that you can also loop a whole playlist on YouTube by selecting the Loop Playlist option in the pop-up menu on desktop or the Loop Playlist option in the playlist menu on mobile.
With these simple steps, you can easily loop your favorite YouTube videos and playlists to your heart's content.
How to share YouTube video on IG story?
Due to copyright concerns, neither Instagram nor YouTube feature a native way to share videos between the platforms. With that said, there are 2 main ways to share a YouTube video on IG story:
Share YouTube video as a link
The easiest way is to simply share the link to the video in question. There are 2 ways you can go about it depending on how many followers you have:
- In the Instagram app, tap the plus button and choose Story;
- Tap on the Aa button to go into the Create mode;
- There, go into stickers selection menu found at the top of your screen;
- Find the link sticker, and paste the URL to the YouTube video you'd like to share.
- Finish your story, and publish.
In case your page has more than 10,000 followers, you should see a Chain button at the top of your screen whenever posting a story. You can paste the URL using this button just as well.
Share the actual YouTube video on IG story
This process is a bit more involved, as you will need to have the target video downloaded to your device and edit it to fit the Instagram story limitations. Here's the general process:
Download the video you'd like to reshare. Note that you can't directly obtain videos you didn't upload according to YouTube's copyright policies;
Crop the video to fit the 9:16 aspect ratio used on IG stories. For most modern devices, the native Photos app should do the trick;
Upload the result to Instagram via normal means.
How to turn on comments on YouTube?
YouTube allows to adjust comment parameters for your channel on both the individual video level and the entire channel level.
Note that you won't be able to change comment settings in 3 instances — your video is private, it is labeled as "made for kids", or your account is supervised (i.e. parental control is enabled). In all other cases, here's how to change your comment settings on YouTube:
Turn YouTube comments on or off for the whole channel
- Log into your YouTube Studio;
- On the left-side menu, select Settings;
- In there, find the Community tab, and go to the Defaults option there;
- Adjust your default settings under the Comments on your channel / new videos accordingly;
- Save the changes.
Depending on whether your channel has the Community tab enabled, the exact parameter name can differ slightly. If you don't have the Community tab enabled, it'll be called Comments on your new videos. Otherwise, the parameter will be called Comments on your channel.
Turn YouTube comments on or off for an individual video
- Log into your YouTube Studio;
- On the left-side menu, select Content. Or simply follow this link;
- Click on the thumbnail of the video you'd like to adjust;
- Scroll down until you see the Show more option. Click it;
- There, find the Comments and ratings parameter and adjust it accordingly;
- Save the changes.
Note that you can adjust the comment settings for multiple videos at once using the bulk edit feature.
