How Much Are Chip & Joanna Gaines Worth?
The Queen & King of Modern Farmhouse May be as Rich as Real Royalty!
Chip & Joanna Gaines are a couple from Waco, TX and rose to fame as the stars of HGTV's hit show, Fixer Upper. The home renovation show followed the couple, who served as both the realtors and construction team/interior designers, as they helped families buy and renovate older homes in the Waco area. The show first aired in 2013, and ever since the couple has dominated a major space in American interior design and home design pop culture. This is also when the couple's business empire and fortune began to grow! But just how much is this All-American couple worth? And what all makes up their vast business empire?

How Much Are They Worth?
According to Parade.com, Chip & Joanna Gaines are currently worth an estimated $50 million. This large fortune comes from a combination of their TV shows (now mainly on the Magnolia Network which streams on Discovery+ and is also on cable), their realty business, and their retail "theme park" in Waco, The Silos.
What Are The Silos?
If you haven't been to or heard of The Silos (let's be honest, if you haven't at least heard of it, then you are a little behind), it's a large complex in their hometown that is full of retail and restaurant options. Many of these are owned by the couple themselves, but they also partner with other local entrepreneurs to rent out space in The Silos. You may think that this sounds just like a fancy shopping center, but it has become so much more than that.
The Silos also hosts an annual marathon called The Silo District Marathon, that was inspired by Chip Gaines's mission to complete a marathon. The event also features a 5K and half-marathon, and shows the kind of community that the couple has built around their brand and their personalities. Even though The Silos are full of home decor merchandise and yummy treats, many go to visit the area to connect with the people at the heart of it.
Wait, They Have Their Own TV Network Now?!

Yup, you read that right! The couple became so popular with their HGTV show Fixer Upper, that they thought, "Hey, we could make a whole TV network!" And that they did.
Magnolia Network took over for the DIY Network, which started in 1999 and showcased home renovation and DIY shows. Magnolia Network kept this spirit in a way, with many homes centering around interior design, home renovation and repair, and DIY inspiration with their Magnolia Workshops series.
However, they expanded the programming with many shows focused on cuisine, old home history, personal stories, and more. Their shows are defined by the natural, homey feel that they have and focus on quality and inspirational stories.
You can stream all that Magnolia Network has to offer on Discovery+, and make sure to check your local TV listings to see when you can catch the shows on your cable channels!
Were They Always So Successful?
While it may be easy to look at the couple now and think they've always been this successful, you'd be wrong. Before their TV success on Fixer Upper, the couple were pretty ordinary people living in TX, and trying to run a real estate & interior design business during the housing crash, which I think we can all imagine must have been extremely tough and stressful!
Joanna has shared, "The four or five years before we did [Fixer Upper], when the housing crisis hit, things were so hard for us. For four or five years, every Friday, we were saying, 'Are we gonna make it?'"
Well, don't worry younger Joanna! You definitely did make it, and so much more!
How Much Did They Make From Fixer Upper?
The couple owes much of their success to their Fixer Upper TV show, which premiered on the HGTV network in 2013. As reported by E!, the couple made $30,000 for each episode of the hit TV show, and that didn't include any payments they received from the families that they helped on the shows.
With some seasons having up to 17 episodes, this meant that the Texas couple were bringing upwards of $510,000 per season!
In Conclusion, They Definitely Did Make It
Perhaps the thing that we love most about this classic couple is that even with all of this success, they seem to remain relatively humble and down to earth. They aren't buying multi-million dollar homes on the coasts or driving supercars and yachts, they are still living in their hometown area on their farm, spending time with their kids and family, and creating amazing content & products for all of us to enjoy!
Even though they are already worth an estimated $50 million, we expect this couple to continue to make big waves in the business world, and we can't wait to see what they come up with next!
