If you want to attempt making writing a job or a big side business, then making $1000 a month is a decent target to shoot for.

Making a grand a month as a side hustle is excellent.

And if you can make that much a month, then you know you probably have what it takes to plunge in and make it your profession. It’s a nice standard to meet if you think becoming a writer full time is your aim.

So how does one go about this?

Freelancing/Ghostwriting

If you want to make a large amount of money writing and do not have a big enough following to generate money from your own work, then freelancing is the way to go.

Also, freelancing, if you are attentive about choosing your clients, can provide you a little more security than relying on platforms.

Though it will never be as secure as a traditional 9 to 5.

Now how do you start hitting these numbers?

I’ve always found it simpler to establish my desired quantity and work backwards.

So if you want to hit $1000 bucks, there are a number of methods to achieve this.

One you might find a client willing to pay you that much per month. They are not simple to find, but it’s feasible. It will also be challenging if you are just starting out and do not have a rich portfolio to provide clients. But it can be done. I’ve done it. So you can surely accomplish it.

There are a couple more breakdowns, and if you passed elementary school math, you’re already ahead.

1000

1000

10 x 100

Those are the primary breakdowns if you’re seeking to reach your target.

Getting two clients to pay you $500 is simpler than getting one whale of a client but still may be challenging for a novice to find straight away.

Not back in the day; getting $1000 a month writing 100 small little pieces for content mills was realistic, and how many authors entered into the field.

It’s how I started.

But artificial intelligence has basically done away with that sort of labor. If you were to do this, it would be preferable to promote yourself as a boutique content firm that employs AI to create a lot of articles for the customer and you acting as the editor.

Now, obtaining $250 from 4 clients is a feasible objective. Finding a customer to take a chance on you with 250 dollars is an easier pill to swallow.

This is also extremely essential.

4 clients is quite straightforward to manage. Managing your clientele is easily more vital than your writing talent.

You can write like Hemingway, but if you can’t handle your clients appropriately, then nobody is going to offer you writing employment.

And if you establish a reputation for mismanaging clients, then your career will fall swiftly.

Now where do you locate clients?

Clients can come from just about anywhere. If you’re writing on a platform, then make sure you have an email available that clients may contact you at.

You may also reach out to businesses directly. If you identify a firm whose online content is missing and contact them with a strategy and samples on how you would develop content for them, they will nearly always listen.

It might be good to sell your plan as a trial run, and if they enjoy what you’re doing after a month, then you can negotiate a long-term contract.

How do you obtain nice clients?

First, be simple to deal with and make sure that all of your work is accurate and on time.

People pay you to fix an issue for them. If you’re causing more hassles, then it’s not worth their time or money to keep you on.

But if you make their life easy and help them generate money, then you will have a terrific working relationship.

Make Sure You Can Manage the Writing Work

Now if you want to start freelancing, you’re going to have to develop content. Sometimes a lot of it.

It’s crucial that you can write a substantial amount of words even on days when you’re not feeling it.

It’s one thing if you can barely eke out a dozen words on your blog. If you’re suffering and can’t keep up with the client’s needs, then they will let you go.
