Holiday Gifts: Under The Budget
Christmas Gifts That Mean More Than Dollar Signs.

2020 Holiday Strife: No Worries Though!
This year has been one heck of a ride bringing financial hardships from this virus that has been on overdrive. On top of our financial stressors it seems the holidays are upon us. I know for myself I am in a financial mess and I fear that I too won't be able to afford a gift for any of my family or friends. I do know how to give a gift without any money though, because for me this is just the same as any other year. I usually can find a way, and sometimes I will have a few dollars on hand that way I can still make way for some purchases. I do know all too well the burden of no cash on hand too, but hey! You don’t need money in the wallet to figure out a good gift. In this article I’m going to share some Ideas that might even make your family and friends even more delighted.
Some Thoughtful No Cash On Hand Gifts.
So I’m gonna share a secret, if you are just out of funds and have no ability to go shop for a gift you aren’t out of luck and you won’t disappoint your loved ones this year. There are so many little sentimental gifts you can provide that don’t necessarily cost you, as long as you have these on hand. I’m gonna list some ideas in this list below:

1. Make a quality holiday card by hand, It’s not just for kids. On top of having fun with stylizing the card the way you want to, it also shows the person that you care about them, also you are the actual card writer, so they will know that the words expressed are truly yours.
2. Get a list of things you can do for each person, as free acts of kindness. This is the whole coupon book of favors idea, only if you aren’t a kid anymore, you can definitely change it up. One idea I have is a coupon book of free home cleaning, and these won’t expire until they use each one. You can also make a coupon book of things like; free home cooking, or even a free coupon for a date night with your S/O. There are so many possibilities that can come from this one.
3. Talent’s; if you have a talent that you aren’t shy about sharing with someone then, put on your thinking cap and you can use it as a gift. I am a singer, so like if I were to put my thinking cap on I’d give my friends and family tickets to a singing performance(in house). If you enjoy acting you can do the same and give them a play book or if you are a cool funny person, share an inhouse ticket for your act. Also if you are using your talents to create art, give them a ticket to a free art show.
4. Use your trade, if you are a cosmetologist offer to give them a hair cut and make a coupon for a free haircut, or if you are a mechanic offer a free vehicle inspection, this all can sort of align with the coupon idea, if you are an artist offer a free sketch of that person.
5. There is never any shame in a regifting idea either. If you have a book you have read and you think someone might enjoy it then wrap it up and re gift away!
Some Gift Ideas Under $5
If you only a few bucks on hand some of these gift's will still be recognized as thoughtful from the ones you care about.

1. Sometimes all we have is $5 and that’s ok, the discount stores are great with helping people who have this issue. I have given discounted gifts before and everytime the person was delighted with the gift.
2. I shopped at my local supercenter and they had the best things last year. I bought the little $0.98 candles and some chocolate kisses, I put them in a little gift bag and they were a hit! You can also find things in the home and kitchen area that are under a dollar and you can make little gift sets with those items too, just use your imagination and remember your budget.
3. Activity books are always a good route, especially for young children. I know plenty of adults who like activity books and they are rather inexpensive. A pen and a crossword search and sudoku for the people in your group who enjoy that could be a great gift.
4. I love receiving journals as a gift, we all need one so why not.
5. We all have sweet tooths, well most of us anyway, some of the baking kits you can buy aren’t too pricey and also the hot chocolate mason jars are awesome!
6. Many people enjoy a good ole’ gift card from their favorite places, even $5 is a good gift, I love getting coffee gift cards, $5 is usually enough for my favorite drink.
See! It’s Pretty Cool!
I know that some of you may think that these are not good enough, but I’m pretty sure the person who receives these gifts from you will be thankful. A lot of the time we think we need to have money to give someone a good enough gift for the holidays, but it’s absolutely possible to have no cash on hand or just a little to go and give anyone a gift. Go! Try it out! It’s so fun, and these gifts most likely will mean more to the person receiving them because you took the effort to even think of them.
