A recipe for sleep is a combination of the perfectly measured out ingredients, the magic and dedication of the cook, and the atmosphere of which the sleep is created. Much like making bread it takes time, a good sense of knowing when the dough has been kneaded just the right amount, and when to place it in the oven to bake. Much like sleep, miss an ingredient and the dough could never rise to perfection and bake well enough to be edible. It is a careful balance that if accomplished correctly, delicious dreams could be a slice of bread covered in butter and melting in your mouth.

Benefits of Fresh Sleep Every Night:

Assuming that one was to add all the ingredients together, there are many benefits of s fresh sleep every night. Create positive sleep conditions each night after a day’s hard work and reap the benefits in the morning and throughout that morning’s day.

The benefits of fresh sleep every night is, yet not limited to, a full night's rest and a full day's surge of energy, weight loss, hormone balance, health improvement, better digestion, easier breathing at night while sleeping, better muscle and over all healing generation, and so much more. The best benefit of all is being able to perform daily tasks without fatigue and better overall body performance.

Step 1: Assemble the Ingredients.

- 3 to 5 hours prior to going to bed do not eat food

- A toothbrush, bar of soap, and a towel

- 15 minutes a day of raising your heartbeat through exercise (cardiovascular health aids sleep)

- Every ounce of darkness in the room as possible

- A pinch of white noise

- An 8-ounce glass of water

- A coffee cup amount of decaffeinated herbal green tea (not black or brown)

- A box of tissues

- A book, a journal, and a pen to write with

- A scented candle

- A memory foam mattress

- 1800 count cotton sheets

- One breathable down comforter

- One soft duvet cover

- 3 Pillows (a down or feather soft pillow, a memory foam pillow, and a gel pillow)

- A body pillow (optional, can use one of the 3 other pillows)

- One soft throw blanket

Step 2: Creating the Mix a Pre-Night Routine Fix (preparing for bed)

Preparing the mix of a good night’s sleep is your first task. Get into your pjs, brush your teeth, and wash your face for a refreshed feeling that will calm you as you lay your head on your pillow. Before you climb into bed stretch out your body from head to toe. It is good for your pet; it is good for you as well. Place the glass of cold water and the cup of hot tea on your nightstand next to you in case you get thirsty, so you don’t have to go down and get a glass at 3am in the morning. The more access you have to things without leaving your bed the easier it will be to stay half asleep and get back to sleep as well. Also keep a box of tissues on your nightstand to blow your nose, Chapstick to moisten your lips, and a scented candle for ambience. You can also have a book to read or a journal to write your thoughts and dreams. Remember to adjust your light when you are ready to close your eyes and even add a tad bit of “white noise” to offset any spontaneous noises that sometimes jerk you out of your deep sleep. To help calm yourself even more, add a meditation. Close your eyes and drift off to sleep.

Step 3: Adding Ingredients to the Mix

Important things to remember are ingredients that one adds to the mix. Things like avoiding acid indigestion, heart burn, or worse digestive issues by not eating at least 3 to 5 hours before bed. Also, daily exercise helps with nighttime sleep. It is important to raise your heartbeat in physical activity for at least 15 minutes a day. This alone has many benefits but the most important is the role it plays with a good night’s rest. A good night’s rest is as equally important as a good day’s work. It is a balance.

Step 4: Needing the Bed (the importance of a good mattress)

Mattresses have come a long way from just a spring and a box underneath to materials that even NASA use. A good night’s sleep has finally begun to receive the credit it is due. Everyone has a preference due to the condition of their body and therefore a mattress must be flexible. Memory foam mattresses are in fact the most formidable mattresses there are. They can conform to your body with every movement you make while you sleep. Therefore, one has the perfect mattress that is always a perfect fit for a body of any shape or size.

A good night’s rest is important and could have a huge impact on your life. Think of it as an investment in your future a balance where the awoken state during the day is the Ying and the sleeping state is your Yang. You cannot function properly without this balance. Your body does most of its healing and rejuvenation during the time your sleep. So, bake that bread, follow this recipe every day, and you will endure a fabulous feast of life.

Now feast on that food for thought!
