We all start with a goal in life and we all tend to do the same thing with it. We are all very good at talking ourselves out of our goals. This is because it's easier to quit than it is to pursue our dreams or so we think.

As we get older we realize that it is actually harder to quit than it is to follow through and achieve these goals. How? we go through life doing everything we can to survive and we don't even realize how much time is passing as we set our heads to survival mode and try and feed ourselves from day to day. We automatically feel like if we fall off the path of our everyday struggle we risk not being able to eat the next day. the more we do the things we don't like in order to survive the more we realize we swap our jobs, our occupations, the things we study, and so on. we look for a side hustle and see if we can work just that little extra to have that little extra to work on our dreams.

Let me tell you the 5 things you need to start doing now if you haven't already started to get to your goals.

1. The number one thing is to have a set goal. Yes, we know what our goal is and what we want to be doing, but have you ever sat down and written out a plan for your ultimate goal? What do you want the result to be at the end? Do you want to yourself up to have a passive income, do you want to land the role as manager or do you want to take over a company, or do you want to start a family? Whatever your result maybe you need to write it down.

2. Have you ever thought of the steps you need to take to get there? Write down the things you will have to sacrifice and the things you don't yet have that you will need to accomplish your goal. What is standing in your way? do you need more income, more experience, more time? write down everything you need and everything that has held you back from accomplishing your goal. This will probably end up looking like a list of your fears.

3. Face your fears. Next to everything you have listed, you need to write down ways you can tick these off your list and set a time limit for you to be able to tick them off. this may take you a few days if you need to do research. If you need more experience, for example, you will need to list where you will be able to gain that experience and how long it would take to complete so you can say it's done. This could be anything. Even if your goal is to lose some weight and you don't know how to do it then you need to research how to exercise or set a budget and find yourself a personal trainer or a class. Learn how to eat so your body can get the most out of the time you have set for yourself.

4. Dedication. You need to be committed. You are the only person you can depend on to get yourself through this. If you need to look at yourself so that your mind and your body are two different people and you need to talk your body into moving and getting things done then that is what you need to be doing. Once you have your goal and your timeline set out, you need to create a plan, break it down daily, and tick those small goals off day to day until you hit the big dream. This requires dedication.

But the big one is the number 5.

5. Take time for yourself every day. When you wake up in the morning you need to take 60 seconds for yourself. Wait until your body and your mind are totally awake. Sit up in bed. Close your eyes and take deep breaths. Practice seeing your goal for that day, play it out like a movie in your head, and end it with the result you want for that day's goal. think of the steps, and dream it so it makes sense. fill in the gaps. Take notice of what you are wearing in your daydream, how are you standing, what are you saying, who are you talking to, and the sigh of relief that you have accomplished the goal for today.

When you open your eyes, carry out your morning routine, find the outfit you saw yourself wearing, and put it on. This part is important, do not change your outfit. if you see yourself in the mirror and decide you don't like what you're wearing for any reason and you decide to change you are giving yourself a way out and you will end up where you started with your goals all over again. If you train your mind to chase your desire then you feel confident in everything you do and this rubs off on people around you. You have the power to bend your reality and make things work for you. Always try and visualize what you want the result to be and practice your reaction in your head. if you can see it you can make it happen.

When you have a goal set in your mind your body language and your tone of voice and your choice of words will automatically adjust to make that dream a reality.

Sometimes we need to practice to make ourselves believe we can achieve anything. Our mind is so used to us saying if we fail it's fine and we have worked on it so much our mind knows nothing else, but it wasn't always the way. There use to be a time when we believed in ourselves and it's time to bring that back. Follow these 5 steps and you will achieve your goals.
