Writers Block
and other problems I have while writing.

So for a while now I've been on and off working on a story that I hope to one day either publish or make into a comic. But I haven't finished the story because of the occasional writer's block or lack of inspiration. This is a process that I've been working on since high school.
What I find interesting is that I have an idea of how I want the story to go. I even planed what happens after the first book. I planed for three books and haven't even finished haven't the first one. I barely have the first half of the book done, I don't know how far I am with my story.
I struggle with writer's block a lot, it honestly bugs me really badly too. It comes at random spurs and moments as I work on my stories. There are moments where I really want to write but I can't find the inspiration to write... It's like I can't make my hand take a pencil to a page or that I feel as if I can't type anything on a document. It makes me feel lazy and unmotivated. I know that there are some things I can do to get me out of a writer's block but normally it's a process.
I'll share some things I do to get out of writer's block.
Drawing
When I draw it helps get my creative juices flowing. Sometimes I draw the character or characters in my story. If I draw my character I can think of situations in the story and it helps me figure out what to do. Once I have a few ideas I write them down next to my drawing and if I have enough inspiration I go back to writing my story.
Listen to music
Sometimes listening to music helps me figure out plot points for my stories. Or a song will remind me of a scene or a character, and I'll think of things to do with that scene or character. Music also helps to get your creative juices flowing as well.
Talk with a friend or family member.
I know talking with someone and exchanging ideas is what helped me figure out some things about my stories. I mainly talk with some friends about my stories, because they are also working on their own story or something else creative. We normally help each other out with our work.
Watch a show or movie
Sometimes getting your mind off of your work can help. Take a small break and enjoy some relaxation time with a movie or show. Who knows maybe the show or movie you are watching will inspire you and you'll be out of your writer's block. You never know what might motivate you to add to your story's.
These are just a few things that can help me get out of writer's block. I know it can be frustrating and it can take some time. But also make sure you take that time to relax and enjoy a break from your work. Sometimes we get caught up in what we're writing that we drain our own motivation and we need to recharge it. It just takes some time and sometimes if you catch it soon enough you might not be stuck in writer's block for long. It's just a process you've gotta work through, just like planing a story.
I hope this helps some of y'all out, keep on writing, and keep up the good work everyone. Have a good rest of your day or night. Stay creative and keep the creative juices flowing.
