It is no secret that writing can help one discover the parts of himself that he never knew existed. Writing has come a long way since when it was started. And here is a list of few things you should be doing to let yourself soar in the sky of limitless imagination and get to know yourself in a much better way.

1. JOTTING DOWN YOUR IDEAS SPONTANEOUSLY AND REGULARLY.

You may be amazed to know how many things you don't remember at the end of the day when you sit down to write your journal. It is generally considered a sign of intelligence if you remember every little detail of the day. (And obviously, you can't because we aren't that aware of our surroundings in our day-to-day lives usually, unless we purposely want to memorize something.) But if this is the case then think about how many ideas might get lost till the time you may need them. A great podcast idea, or maybe a self-made recipe that you wanted to try, or maybe even a couple of lines that could make great song lyrics.

Thus keeping a notepad with you and jotting down whatever you want to remember in a long run could actually prove to be a great practice. Now, in today's era we can note things down in our mobile notes, but still writing them will someday make a great treasure.

Like just imagine, you've been writing a couple of ideas daily for months now and suddenly you feel like you need an awesome idea to impress your girlfriend by writing a poem for her. No one is at a loss here, right?

2. ORGANIZING YOUR THOUGHTS IN A JOURNAL.

Now that we have seen the importance of jotting ideas from time to time, let's go ahead to see why organizing thoughts in your journal is also very crucial.

Journaling is a way to condense your entire day on a page or two. This is also very important to keep your feelings and thus your mental health in check. But how do you organize your day and thoughts on a single page or two in an effective way?

I use the technique 'MAEN' (I created it so I might not look too creative with the naming, lol). It is analyzing your day as to what happened in segments of 'MORNING-AFTERNOON-EVENING-NIGHT'. It actually becomes simpler when you try to note down your day in sections.

This way you won't forget to get a book from the library that got stuck in your brain but had a difficult name to memorize.

3. Creating Schedules and work on vocabulary. Not just to impress people.

This is a necessary step and I highly suggest you start practising it sooner. Making a definite schedule not only gives you a clearer insight into the things ahead that are important and needs to get done.

You can try planning your day first as a beginner and then go on to plan important weekly and monthly tasks. This is not just about your assignments or office work but also your desired goals can come in.

Making a good schedule to keep you updated also increases your chances to have higher self-confidence. Since you completed the 10 daily tasks you needed to instead of procrastinating, it gives a motivational boost to do more.

Think of it in a way where you have a night out party with your friends and you don't have to stress to get your documents printed. Because Viola you did it in the morning when your mind was telling you to rest and do it later. Who is at the benefit I wonder?

And that makes us through with our '3-things list'. Just to revise once more, remember - "Ideas to jot+ Journal of the day+ Schedule your way." This might feel lame, but it works when you are clear on the titles.

So if you liked my blog make sure to like it and share it. It motivates me to write more.
