Welcome back to another installment of Motivational Monday's!

I had a great weekend, working and spending time with my family. Now we are back at the school week grind. Even on sleepy mornings, I find myself still feeling grateful.

Why do you may ask?

Because I have a lot of things to be grateful for.

Gratitude changed my life. Don't get me wrong, when you're feeling negative, it can be hard to focus on the good. But rewiring your brain to feel the things like gratitude and happiness can save a person's life.

My partner for instance, is one of the most well adjusted people I have ever met. He can take anything- literally any situation, crack a joke and put a smile on someone's face. Except when he is sick with a cold or flu. But even then, seeing him in those “less-than-his-best” moments reminds me to appreciate life’s little joys. Even when things feel off, there’s always something to hold onto like: a warm cup of coffee, a hug from your child, or even a silly TikTok that makes you laugh out loud.

There's plenty of gratitude in the mundane, it doesn't always have to be complicated for you to be grateful for something.

Start with something small- like being grateful for a cup of coffee, a new episode of your favourite television show, or even those few quiet moments before the chaos begins. It's truly the little things in life that mean the most. Take a moment out of your day, and focus on something small to be grateful for.

I speak on gratitude often. But sometimes, it is just fucking hard. Pardon my language here but, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. There are days when finding something to be grateful for feels impossible, in all honesty with you guys, that’s okay.

Last week, my motivational song was Golden by Huntrix which is STILL stuck in my head because of my kids.

Today, it is a little bit different. I took this one out of my SONGS THAT SAVED ME playlist. I love the beat of this one and it goes along with my beginning quote to start off this wonderful week ahead of us.

Take my heart, don't break it

Love me to my bones

All this time I wasted

You were right there all along

I had watched a TikTok once about how starting your morning by dancing- even just for 30 seconds before you leave the house in the morning, can make or break your day. Now I don't know about you, but a quick fist bumping dance to this beautiful love song sounds like a fantastic way to start off the week.

So here’s my challenge for you this Monday: find one small thing to be grateful for, move your body for just a few seconds, and let yourself feel the music. Even in the chaos, even in the gutter, look up. There are stars waiting for you even within your lowest of the low moments.

Here’s to a GREAT week full of perspective, gratitude, and maybe a little dancing along the way.

I hope this post changed your perspective on Monday's just a little bit more, maybe brightened a dreary start to the beginning of fall.

I enjoyed writing this.

Please let me know if you'd like me to continue this motivational series. I truly feel inspired to continue these posts as it helps me reframe my own thoughts for the week.

Thanks for reading you guys.
