Why Getting An Interview is A Blessing!

As a college student, you're likely searching for a job amidst a competitive job market. However, landing an interview is a blessing in itself as it offers an opportunity to learn more about the company and position, as well as showcase your skills and knowledge. Additionally, the interview process allows you to build your personal brand, present yourself effectively, and increase your chances of being hired over other candidates. It's important to approach the interview as a marketing tool, highlighting your skills, experience, and expertise. Don't forget to dress appropriately, arrive early, and be prepared to answer questions. The interview is a blessing, and if approached positively, can lead to a great career move or further opportunities.

I posted this on Tiktok, and i wanted to explain why I was so happy:

If you're in college, you're probably looking for a job. And if that's the case, then you should consider yourself lucky! Not only do most people not have jobs during the summer holidays, but also there are plenty of opportunities out there for students who have completed their first year of university.

The one major downside to this is that it can be really difficult and stressful to find a job when everyone else is also looking for work at the same time – and especially if your chosen career path is competitive. That's why I'm writing this article: To help make things easier on anyone who's trying to find work while they're still studying at university or college (or both). In this post we'll go over some tips on how to ace an interview as well as solidify your personal brand and develop a strategic approach towards interviews!

An Interview is A Blessing!

When you get an interview, it's a blessing. You are being considered for a job and that is good news! The interview process allows you to learn more about the company and position, as well as learning more about the people you will be working with and even industry trends.

You can ask questions about anything that has been on your mind since applying for this role. This includes benefits, salary range, office culture (e.g., flexible hours), etc.

If there is something missing from your resume or application packet that could help strengthen your candidacy (like references), now is the time to mention it so they can follow up before making their final decision on who gets hired for this position

Personal Brand Building

The interview is a tool for personal branding.

The interview is an important part of your brand building process, as it presents you with an opportunity to showcase your skills and knowledge while connecting with others in the industry. By effectively presenting yourself during an interview, you can increase the likelihood that employers will hire you over other candidates who may have better credentials but did not perform well during their interviews.

Developing a Strategic Approach to Interviews

  • What to wear.
  • What to bring.
  • How to say it, and how not to say it!
  • How not to act during an interview:
  • Don't be late for the interview; arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can relax before meeting your interviewer(s). This will also give them time if they need any last minute questions answered or if there's been a change in plans, such as rescheduling due to traffic or weather delays at their end of things.
  • Dress appropriately according to company standards (elevator pitch), but don't overdo it either--you want them thinking about how great your skills are rather than focusing on what kind of shoes/suit jacket/pants combo is currently trending on Instagram these days!

The Interview as a Marketing Tool

You are an expert in your field. You know what you do, how it's done and why it matters. You have skills that can't be learned from a book or an online course--they come from years of experience, hard work and dedication.

But sometimes people forget this fact about themselves! When we're so busy with our day-to-day activities, it's easy for us to get lost in the shuffle of modern life and forget how valuable our skills really are. That's why getting an interview is such a blessing: It gives us a chance to remind ourselves of all the amazing things we've learned over time--and show those around us just how much they need what we have to offer!

The best way I know how this works? By using The Interview as Marketing Tool!

You'll learn how to approach this blessing in the most positive way.

The interview is a blessing, and you need to approach it that way. The interviewer will ask you questions and try to find out if you're the right person for the job. You should be prepared for this opportunity, because it could lead to a great career move or even better opportunities down the road.

If this is your first interview ever (and maybe even if it's not), there are some things that may surprise or worry you about what happens during an interview process:

  • How do I know what questions they'll ask me? Do I have enough experience? What if my resume isn't good enough?

Conclusion

We hope that this article has helped you to see the value of getting an interview. In fact, we think it's such a great blessing that we want to share some tips on how to make the most of it!
