Peterson III Visitors Centre, the Blue Room jazz Club, and the Gem Theatre to present the sights and sounds of jazz. Since its opening in 1997, the Museum has welcomed thousands of students, researchers, musicians, and art enthusiasts for more than 200 performances, educational programs, special exhibitions, community events, and other activities annually, giving them the chance to learn about the legends, pay tribute to their legacy, or just take in the sounds of contemporary jazz. Museum of the Arabian Steamboat
An intriguing time capsule of frontier life in the 1800s is kept in the Arabia Steamboat Museum. Fall 1856 saw Arabia sailing up the Missouri River when it collided with a tree branch and sank just north of Kansas City. 200 tonnes of materials for general stores and pioneer villages were packed into the boat's cargo hold. Over time, the river's flow changed, burying Arabia beneath a Kansas cornfield. Finally 1988, a group of modern explorers discovered lost Arabia and its rich cargo. They were astounded to discover elegant furnishings, attire, and even food in bottles maintained in extraordinary shape. King Tut's Tomb of the Missouri River is the name given to their discovery.
The stadiums of Kauffman and Arrowhead
The Royals and Chiefs of the National Football League represent Kansas City, the smallest media market with a club in each league. The 37.9k-seat Kauffman Stadium and the 76.4k-seat Arrowhead Stadium are the two stadiums where the two teams compete at the Truman Sports Complex, southeast of downtown Kansas City. The two venues, which date back to the early 1970s but have undergone substantial renovations in the interim, are shown above in this drone footage by Mavic Traveler.
