The Success of the Dry Cleaners in Fulham!

Dry Cleaners Fulham is synonymous with the dry cleaner's trade in the UK. Their history has spanned over thirty years and as a company has changed constantly with times and the market trends. As a dry cleaner trade organization, they have strived to be at the forefront of developments in the dry cleaning trade and take on board all new changes in the industry. With such a long history it is no wonder that they are still at the forefront in dry cleaning today.
Dressing up for the Dry Cleaners Fulham Common was an exciting undertaking. The board met to consider Mr. Tager's plan for an Independent Liquidation Company, which would fulfill the need for a liquidator and also meet other corporate needs. Sir Ronald Coppinger, Chairman of ICI, stated at the time that the new board would be making small changes to the present code if these changes were guaranteed to improve the atmosphere for British companies. Included in the proposed changes were to increase the compulsory membership to include more tradespeople, introduce a requirement for independent financial statements and provide guidelines for the company directors to act in the best interests of the company. This information was later implemented in the Private Finance Regulations 2021.
During this meeting, Mr. Tager presented his proposal and was questioned by Mr. James Sharp, the private finance secretary. Mr. Sharp questioned whether the proposal would help Fulham's dry cleaners. Mr. Taggert replied that he had examined the proposal and found it met the necessary criteria, namely that there would be an independent financial statement and that the auditors would have complete access to the books. He also stated that he expected a five-year term for the Board of Directors.
Fulham Waste Management Company!
The newly-formed Committee of Assignments, which is now called the Fulham Waste Management Company (SWMD), met on the 7th of September to start the process of selecting the new Audit Chair and appointed Mr. Taggert as its first chairman. Mr. James Sharp was made a member of the Committee and given a further role as an Adjunct Vice Chairman. Mr. Sharp was asked to review and comment on the proposals put forward by Mr. Taggert. On the day he presented his comments to the media saying that he welcomed the changes to the Society of Commercial laundries. He said that the changes were very good for the companies but warned that they were probably not enough and that independent auditor were needed to carry out even further improvements.
The Society of Commercial Laundry Services' Board has met twice in recent years to discuss issues relating to commercial dry cleaning. During this time the Society has been trying to increase trade and build a stronger industry. Mr. Taggert and Mr. Sharp believe that the changes are a positive step forward but want to see even more changes to be brought to the way the companies do business.
Mr. Taggert went as far as to say that he was disappointed that a majority of the laundries did not attend the second meeting of the Fulhammers, although he thought it to be a success. Mr. Sharp also spoke of the need for independent oversight of the companies and he hoped that this would bring about better standards in the industry. Independent observers are indeed needed to ensure that the companies can meet the regulatory requirements and still deliver high-quality services.
The new Fulhammers will continue their work monitoring the progress of the businesses in the Fulhammers' Market. These meetings are intended to keep the laundries in Fulham trading according to the code of practice agreed by them and their fellow organizations. Mr. Sharp said that many laundries had fallen behind in recent years and he wanted to see that they were able to catch up and remain at the leading of the industry. Independent observers can do this by observing the meetings of the Fulhammers and attending the annual meeting in London.
Over 200 Laundries in Fulham!
There are over two hundred laundries in Fulham itself so it is imperative that they can keep up with the competition if they are to continue providing a high-quality dry cleaning service. The competition has been tough because many other local businesses have tried to set up in the area and some have failed. However, Mr. Sharp feels that there is no reason why any reputable laundry should be left behind. He has personally seen how the Fulhammers have improved standards at several laundry services that he has operated in the area and has been impressed with their commitment to excellence and customer service.
Mr. Tagger believes that the success of the Dry Cleaners in Fulham will depend on attracting quality customers and keeping them in business. He feels that in the last few years the company has done an excellent job of developing relationships with their customers and maintaining a good relationship with the suppliers of their products. This has helped them build a good service reputation. If they continue to do well in the area then they will continue to attract new customers from the area which will help them to develop new commercial relations with other businesses.
