The Road To A 100K
From $0 to $1,000 with freelancing, poker, and crypto

Firstly, let me introduce myself, I am a writer, poker player, and crypto enthusiast from Canada. I have been dabbling in all poker, crypto, and writing for the last few years with moderate success but now it's time to take things seriously.
I have decided to document my journey here at Vocal to keep myself accountable, track my progress, find out where I go wrong, and meet some like minded people who are on similar journeys.
I set $100,000 as the goal because that is the amount of money that would mean financial freedom for me to pursure what I want in life. I don't really like material things and I don't spend much money, I find joy in the process of constantly improving at things.
A hundred thousand dollars would allow me to live life how I want and help others through volunteering and donating. I also want to adopt a dozen dogs and give them the best lives ever.
So lets dig into the details of this challenge...
Writing
For this challenge I will be writing on different sites like Vocal. Vocal will be the main home for this journey. I will someday make a blog and my own website but as of now I do not have the resources or the time.
I will also be freelancing on sites like Upwork and Problogger. I have had some moderate success in my first month so it looks promising. It may take a while to get multiple consistent projects here but it should be worth the effort.
I will also look into other ways of monetizing my writing such as affiliate marketing and submitting articles to some different online publications.
I'm going to learn a lot during this process so I can write some articles on different topics and explore different forms of writing here at Vocal. I plan to try out a number of different styles.
Poker
I have played poker for many years online and in person. It paid for my university education and rent for a few years. I eventually took a break to focus on my career but now I am ready to get back in the game.
I plan on playing both cash games and tournaments. I was primarily a tournament player when I used to play but I do enjoy cash games as well so I will give those a shot.
I am using some of the funds I made from writing this month for my poker bankroll so I can get started. I am going to start at the micro stakes with a bankroll of $500 and slowly work my way up the stakes.
Crypto
There are so many different ways to make money with crypto. I prefer more consistent methods like working in the crypto space and freelance writing for crypto projects. This can provide a steady source of income and I personally find it fun to research and explore the crypto world.
I will also trade crypto futures once I build up enough of a bankroll. I want to get to around $5000 before I even get involved in active trading because it is such a volatile market.
So I am very excited for this. I love all these things so much so it's going to be so much fun. This will be my journal for all things related to this challenge.
I know there will be a high chance of failure but that's okay. This will be a true test of my discipline and my determination.
Now thats enough talk, time to get to work. I will talk to you soon with my latest update.
