The pink book is little: pocket-sized, in fact; nevertheless it has a lot of pages! So, here's some more of the glory and wisdom from my little pocket-sized brain -

I mean all of them -

Even this accomplishment, the art of taking it easy -

Linger and Tarry. It sounds like a vaudeville act, but really it's just a couple of accomplishments in the realm of doing nothing - or, doing something, but taking your own sweet time doing it.

If you don't remember or never heard of it, it's here in Part 1 -
And of course there's a Part 2 to this tome. (You didn't think I'd skip Part 2, did you?) And that one (I mean 2) will be posted at the end here.*
In the meantime -

Also, blow your own horn. And your nose, if you have the sniffles.
Or, as Lauren Bacall said in To Have and Have Not: "You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow."
Then, when you're done blowing -

Gin rummy, cribbage, bridge, go fish. And some night when you're tired of losing at poker, pop some popcorn and watch a good movie that maybe has a card game in it. Two excellent flicks that qualify: Requiem for a Heavyweight and Born Yesterday. Best scene among many in the latter is the card game. Judy Holliday is brilliant while Broderick ("Do what I tell ya!") Crawford is her perfect foil. Clangy bracelets, cigarette holder, cocktail rings, comedic chops, Judy brought it all - and you can bet she's got a better manicure with which to shuffle the deck than mine (as seen in these shots).

Eat it with those things and also with friends. Maybe friends who can make you snicker, giggle, cackle, guffaw, chuckle, chortle. Invite Linger & Tarry.

Crying "in a good way" means laughing so hard you cry. Or if it's not brought on by laughing then consider this which I quote from the Internet:
“Crying triggers the release of endorphins and oxytocin, which can help to reduce stress and improve mood. Crying can also be a way to process difficult emotions and release pent-up stress, allowing the body and mind to return to a more balanced state.”

Okay, time to say it: that is one crappy nail polish application I did. By the look of it I'd say I didn't do my best. But I could be wrong, I might've been having an off day and that was the best I could do. So, don't be so quick to judge me, me!
The word "best" kind of conjures up "perfection" and we all know what a ruse that is. "Personal best" sounds like a good description here - figure out yours and its variations, do some deep diving on your values, put 'em in a cocktail shaker and see what you get.

Floss everyday, not hard to do your best: just pay attention. You can even floss while watching Born Yesterday, prying and coaxing out those popcorn husks (aka pericarp - new word of the day).

After you've flossed, maybe join in a little jig. With friends, you can make a few garlands and dress in some frippery, then have a fun ole time cavorting in the garden or the barn or the house.

A House of Refuge was a shelter for unhoused or destitute people and those who had nowhere else to turn. Be a Person of Refuge.
