BFlow a.k.a Leonard Lopez came to the U.S. in 1990 in flip flops to JFK Airport, “I was kicked out and homeless living in a basement in NYC paying $50 a week. In 1997 he became a business owner, and bought his first barbershop salon ,”I started with 4 chairs in the Bronx NY.” He owned 9 barber shop salons all over NYE , he was working hard everyday.

He was working at 8 am until 12 midnight everyday all the way until 3 in the morning.

He was hustling and didn’t care about the winter or the cold, some times he would have a heater in the barbershop and he still worked hard.

Hi BFlow, Welcome to Vocal media!

Flow’s success happened in his career after his salons became so famous that he started to do celebrities hair only. He has now been a celebrity hairstylist for 20 years, he has styled athletes, actors, artists, influencers such as: Rob Kardashian, Scott Disick, Mansour Bin Jabr, Fat Joe, Jason Derulo, Flo Rida, Akon, Neyo, French Montana, Meek Mill, Usher, The Weeked, 50 cent, Lil Wayne, Dj Khaled, Kendrick Lamar, Jcole, The Game, Dj Whookid, DJ Steve Angello, David Ortiz a.k.a Big Papi, RobinsonCano, Marcela Vieira Jr, William Levy, Boris, KodJoe, JBalvin, Farruko, Zion, DonOmar, Arcangel, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, Amenazzy, DelaGhetto, Gleyberdavid, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Who is your inspiration?

The reason why i wanted to be a barber is because in 1994, the barber who used to cut my hair used to leave me waiting for hours because I went to the special dates which was 6$ a haircut so he would cut my hair last. He didn’t care, he said take it or leave it. I literally started cutting my cousins hair and my friends hair at my house when i used to live in the basement. They started paying me $2.50 for a haircut in 1994. I am my own inspiration, I’m glad to be who I am.

I came up to very good art cutting hair and people used to take me serious.

I opened my first barbershop in the bronx , second one in manhattan, third in queens, fourth in brooklyn, fifth in long island, my sixth barbershop: BFlow Salon

I became so successful and started cutting celebrities. I now fly private from Miami to LA and am in the exotic car rental business, cannabis industry and I am dabbling into real estate. It is refreshing to follow my dreams and truly live the life I have always dreamed of and be surrounded by the people I love . The people who love me and appreciate my hard work.

How have you made it through in obstacles?

I always believed in myself vine though people didn’t want to get a haircut because I’m too young. it doesn’t look like i could trust u with my hair cut. and i made those people believe in me.

What can people learn from you?

Never give up and always follow your dreams.

What Advice would you give to future barbers and business owners?

No matter what people tell you, even when people tell you , you’re not good at this..u have to prove them wrong. we are human, we are not perfect.

What Projects Do You Have Coming?

I want to really show the world that working as a barber u could be your own brand, you can be successful at that.

Thank you so much for joining us at The Odyssey, we have learned so much through your struggles and triumphs.
