There was a time when I woke up every morning with a heaviness I couldn’t name.

The same prayer whispered over cold coffee, the same ache in my chest that wouldn’t go away.

I kept asking, “Why me, God?” as if the right answer would finally make it all make sense.

Every plan I made fell apart. Every door I tried to open stayed shut.

It felt like I was running in circles while everyone else was moving forward.

And in those quiet, ordinary mornings, I started to wonder if maybe God had gone silent—or maybe I just wasn’t worth speaking to anymore.

Then one morning, I sat at the edge of my bed, staring at the same cracks on the ceiling, and something inside me broke—but not in the way I expected. It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t loud. It was just... surrender.

I whispered, “God, I don’t understand anymore, but I’ll trust You anyway.”

That was the first honest thing I’d said in weeks. And it changed everything.

When Life Feels Like a Waiting Room

No one really talks about how hard it is to wait.

We live in a world obsessed with quick fixes and instant results, but God’s timing rarely works like that.

In the waiting, I felt invisible. Forgotten, even. But I started to realize—maybe waiting isn’t punishment. Maybe it’s preparation.

I had built my peace around progress. If I wasn’t moving forward, I felt like I was failing.

But faith was teaching me that stillness can also be sacred.

Sometimes God doesn’t move you because He’s still working in you.

That realization didn’t make waiting easier, but it made it meaningful. I stopped asking “Why me?” and started asking “What are You showing me?”

That one change in perspective opened my heart to see God’s fingerprints in the smallest places.

Behind Closed Doors

Trusting the process isn’t about sitting still—it’s about believing that something good is unfolding, even when you can’t see it.

Every closed door was protecting me from something I didn’t understand yet.

Every delay was shaping me for what I prayed for.

Every disappointment was training my heart to hold joy without fear.

There’s a verse I clung to like a lifeline:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5-6

I used to quote that like a command.

Now I see it as an invitation—to rest, to breathe, to trust.

Letting Go

I began to pray differently—not “Lord, fix this,” but “Lord, fix me.”

That was when peace started to return.

Slowly, quietly, my heart changed.

I stopped trying to control what I couldn’t, and life began to move again—almost gently, as if God was saying, “See? I was here all along.”

I didn’t wake up one day magically healed. I still have moments of doubt. I still ask “why” sometimes.

But the difference is—I don’t stay stuck there anymore.

Now, I remind myself: God’s silence isn’t His absence. It’s His process.

Full Circle

Today, when things don’t go as planned, I smile a little.

I take a deep breath and remember that faith isn’t about knowing what’s next—it’s about trusting Who holds what’s next.

The same rain that once made me question everything now reminds me that growth takes time, and that even storms can water something beautiful.

If you’re in that waiting season, this is for you:

You don’t need every answer to take your next step.

You just need to trust that even in the unknown, you are being guided.

Sometimes, God doesn’t answer the “why” because He’s teaching you the “how”—

how to trust, how to grow, how to live again.
