Tender smoked ribs

Smoked baby back ribs

Over 40 years experience they fall right off the bone trying to open our own catering business, but seem to be getting knocked down more than we can get ahead. We have many people who want our food and love it. We have baby back ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, onion ranch burgers crowder peas, homemade macaroni and cheese, green beans, greens, pinto beans, white beans, hot water cornbread, smoked cabbage, our own special sauce we make from scratch, peach cobbler, banana pudding and we do smoked turkeys deep fried turkey’s. We enjoy cooking and love it so we take pride in everything we do. We have been working on getting our garage changed into a commercial kitchen so we can get our license so we will be legal and not be in violation of anything. It’s been so hard we have no help and have no clue where to turn to get help to do all this. Our dream is to get this up and going and doing what we love and enjoy. We have our name trade marked in the State of Tennessee. Now to figure out the funding part to get everything else up and going and we will be good to go. Hopefully one day we can go to more places of than right in the little community we are in. Once you try the food we promise you will love it and that’s will always be our guarantee to anyone.

We are just two southerners who enjoy cooking and love it my husband is a city boy and I am a country girl! We pride ourselves in the food we cook and make. One day we hope everyone will know about Soul food after dark. We grow our own vegetables, we have chickens, we cook everything from scratch. Neither of us have learned to cook in small portions. No matter how hard we try we just can’t do it. Between the two of us we have five kids and nine grandchildren. So we are one big blend happy family and want to leave our kids and grandkids a legacy they can be proud of and continue even when we are gone.

Looking for options so we can get funding to open our business has been a struggle and has been very stressful as well. With us both not knowing where to turn to or where to even begin this has been long and exhausting. We have a Facebook page for people who have ate our food that can recommend us and share their experience with the taste and quality. With us already doing all the odd jobs we can and the other jobs we do we are almost to our goal so we can make our dreams a reality. When this pandemic hit that really slowed us down because now all we are managing to make it enough to cover our monthly living expenses. Sometimes you just need that one leg up and that one person to have the confidence that you can move to another level. I would so appreciate to find someone that could give us any kind advice that would help us move forward in our venture. Look us up and see our videos on Facebook we are Soul Food After Dark.

Hopefully we can find a way to get our dreams up and going before we loose everything. Everyone love food and good food at that. We have plans and ideas just need to be pointed into the right direction so we can get to the next step. We know our budget and have a goal set and we have pretty much gotten their own our on, just need that last bit to get over the edge. I know that if god answers prayers he will see we hit our goal and get us where we need to be.
