Renneé Hubb experienced tremendous pain during this pandemic - Losing not one but 4 members of her family within a 60 -day period - (nephew, niece, grandmother, and grandfather). Not one to allow the fact that she was unable to visit to process the healing of the loss she did not let grief overcome her. It not only showed her and her family that they have a firm foundation in God and that this has brought them closer together. Also, it has inspired her to launch Inspiring 2 Live which is an inspirational brand.
Renneé was a single teenage mother who raised two children and raised her sister from age 12. Losing her mother in her early 20’s, she overcame homelessness, suicide, and more. It helped her to understand that in life you must endure and trust your faith. Renneé J. Hubb is the leader of VLOFC Outreach Ministry (HAVE- Hope and Victory for Everyone) and serves with the Culinary Ministry.
Also, Renneé is the author of From Bound 2 Found and the Co-Host for a Facebook live show titled Let's Talk About It With Angie and Rennee'. Her passion and purpose is to inspire and make a lasting impact. Currently, Rennee' is running a catering business with her sister called Robin & Renneé Catering.
Two Sisters, one vision. Robin and Renneé Catering was founded by 2 sisters with a passion, heart, and knack for cooking. Robin and Renneé both learned to cook from their mother who they would often watch and pick up tips, while being schooled and instructed from her with lots of love and attention. So cooking, preparing, and now catering, are naturally in their blood. Both ladies have been cooking for several years including assisting with family reunion’s and other events. Not too long after, Robin and Renneé decided to join their church culinary committee located in District Heights, MD. As time went on Robin and Renneé were told by their Pastor they should start their own catering business. Well, that time is now, and the ladies couldn't be happier to share their vision, tasty dishes, and gift of cooking with the world! Robin and Rennee’ Catering was recognized by the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council in 2018 as one of the Top 100 Minority Business Enterprises. Tammy Reese:
From your perspective, how do you think we as a country are handling the pandemic?
Renneé Hubb:
From my perspective, we're divided as a country in regards to the pandemic. Some are following our nation's leaders and not wearing a mask, some have experienced a significant loss and believe that we should be on lockdown, and some are walking by faith but, using wisdom and falling their normal routine.
Tammy Reese:
How do you think we can be doing better to protect each other during the pandemic?
Renneé Hubb:
We can take the necessary precautions such as wear a mask, wash our hands, and pray for our nation.
Tammy Reese:
In what other ways has the pandemic shaped your day-to-day life?
Renneé Hubb:
My day-to-day routine now consists of me setting up my home office to work, watching church on Facebook, and spending the majority of my time in the house.
Tammy Reese:
What are you looking forward to?
Renneé Hubb:
I'm looking forward to traveling, not wearing a mask everywhere, and our nation to heal from this tragic event.
Tammy Reese:
What advice would you have for other families who lost someone during Covid19?
Renneé Hubb:
Losing a loved one during Covid 19 is tough but, hold on to the memories of their loved one and honor them in every way. Create something in their memory, that will encourage and inspire others. Helping others heal will actually help you heal.
