Introduction:

The clients are going to be 15 to 16-year-old students at the school of central foundation boy school. The product could be used by any student but this one is going to be the end user which mean that the product will be design for all the student in that school.

The school students will be the only authorized people on the website however it will be a website made unlimited for the 15 to 16 students and the other student under that age will be using the product will limit access.

The product will be made primarily for student that are struggling in exams. What the student will want from the product is support that will help them study independently.

They find methods of helping themselves to study like a design time table of ways to memories like flash cards or quiz.

the bandwidth could depend on some small factors one of them will be the geographical location of the user or the end user the product will be design for the academic purposes but not necessarily used in school the product can be used everywhere where they are an internet connection this will mean that the access to the product by the customer will really depend on the connection as it will be the main factor that will be required to access the websites of if the student is in a rural area.

For example with a poor internet connection therefore they might have some difficulties in using the website faster as the transfer rate will be very slow due to the fact that the connection will be slower.

Other sort for bandwidth could be the language used on the website to help student if the student does not speak the language very well them it will be harder for them to try and understand the language used on the websites this is more of an issue because the product is meant to help student more individually therefore it is probable that the student will be using that product on their own so if there are some sort of language that they don’t understand they could be struggling as they will be alone with no one helping them.

Market research:

In general, there are some product that does the same sort of work and provide the same enough support to student as this product however in terms of doing exactly these me thing as the product could be different.

The other product that are design to fit the same purpose are mostly made for any type of student or even every type of people that are willing to access it so it is mostly used as an internet based product rather than an extra net product with only a certain amount for student been allowed on it.

Therefore, no product is made to have the same function as this product. One of them are mostly run by privet organisation.

Some of them are design for people to meet the requirement that the organisation will see as helpful not the requirement that the student will see as helpful often done by recent feedback.

However, those product are very used by students and other learners because they are been told that it is what they need to succeed the other reason why these product are wildly used by client is because there are no other types of websites that provide help and support for subject so the only reason why there are been used is because they isn’t other sort of resources that the student can use.

This sort of website is also helpful for some because they introduce a range of help for student of all ages not just a specific age like the product will do so there is more student that will use them.

Even though this sort of websites is sometimes made of one subject most of the area for many subjects that are studied are school so there will be a lot of resources founded on those websites.

Which is something that contribute to their wild uses however there are some limitation to those like the type of resource founded on it.

Purpose:

The product has been designed to act almost as a personal guide assistance for studies especially those in-between the age of 15 to 16.

That will know in what part of their GCSE subject they are struggling and what they need to do for them to catch up and give the following things.

How to revise, memories, ask for help, rest properly, plan revision, manage their time and be organised.

For the product to be able to give this much support to the student it will need to be with the student at all time so it will be downloaded as an application on a mobile smart device.

And because it will be able to have some of this function it could also be downloaded on a smartwatch for functions like telling the when they need to rest after revising for long or be a reminder of when they need to start studying.

And it could also be used on a smart watch to make a studying time table that the person will be able to look at for planning this will be the only function that it will have on a smartwatch.

And other devices like a laptop or a smart will be able to provide for this function and the actual a function for the product which is revision support.

the product will be used on any smart device mostly everywhere if there is internet because the product will require the internet to work so for the student to access it their device will have to be connected to an internet connection.

There student will they be able to access it using their log in details. Even at in their school the student will still need to have their log on details in order to access the application.

Context:

The product will be a brand-new design product that will run on the already existing computer cloud system it will require the same sort of software that a normal computer uses to use the product.

This include the operating system that the computer uses and the internet connection that the computer including the server that the computer uses.

If the device uses a 5G network, then it will make the application easier to download and access from many locations.

The device using a 5G network will make it easier to for issues like a slow connection of the device lagging to be prevented as the speed of the data been transferred through the network will be much stronger.

Therefore, the product will be a totally new product. It will not require extra details to access it like a payment it will be freeware software and could be downloaded only on the school website as it will be used mainly on the school intranet.

And used outside of the school building like at the student house only if it is download on the student device.

This means that the product can be used in the school building without downloaded and without restriction but outside of the school, it can be used only if it is downloaded on the school intranet websites.

This therefore means that for the student to be able to use it they will need to download it at school first on their phone so they could access it outside of the school.

The product will be used as a website on the school intranet and as an application outside of the school building

Assumption:

The product will only be used on product that can easily access the internet. These devices could be hand-held, portable, shared or fixed devices.

Those will be the main hardware used to make the device work other sort of hardware will be not necessary but could still be used one of them is a printer because the product will be a software that will help them to practice their ability at school thing like printing past exam paper of a particular topic could be done this means that a printer could be sued with the product another hardware will be an output device thus will be a speaker the software could be used in an audio way to help the student one example is that if the student is doing a foreign language like mandarin for their GCSE then oral revision will be useful so there will be a need for this hardware to be used or it can even be a headphone if the student it outside of the school in a public area.

Constraint:

This product will have different ways of been used compare to other product. Other websites or software that provide the same functionality are mostly made for any type of student they are used on the internet and isn’t restricted to anybody therefore there are a lot of people using it.

This product is a sort of intranet so it could not be used by everyone so there will be less people using this product compare to other similar product that provide the same type of help because this product is design only for student of a particular school there will be some restriction to who can access it and which cannot.

The other different with this product and other similar is that this product will be more efficient as it provide specific support to the user and not a general support provided to all the student using the software.

The issue with providing the same help to all the student is that not all student work at the same level so it will be useful if the software can help each user at their level this will be the most essential function of this software.

The amount of time that the product could be available from will depend on some general factor like the connection and the battery of the device on which it is been used.

But the mean timescale will depend on the student. because the product will be design for the student then the product will design a routine for the student on how much tome the need to be studying on the software and how long they must rest after using it so that they can manage their study time very well.

The amount of time will depend on the student ability to learn of the student if the student learns very easily then the timescale will be longer and If the student is a slow learner then the timescales will be lower for them.

Main functional requirement:

The student learning at central foundation boy school are in the year of preparing for their GCSE exam and a lot of them find the need for an independent revision support as helpful for them to revise and study well.

Therefore, this product was design differently from other similar types of product.

The first need of the software which will make it useful for this student will be the ability to communicate with the student on the end user this means that the client will be able to write down on the on the software what are their difficulties with their subject and the software will organised a way of leaning that the student will follow the result could be made based on several factor one of it will be the student grade another will be the feedback given by the student teacher and the other will be based on the amount of time that the student spend leaning.

Another factor could even be the feedback of the student parent’s on how they think their child should revise. Based on all for these feedback, the software will then plan for the student to be able to arrange their revision time this could be a time table of the different chapter they will study and even how long they must spend studying each chapter.

The other ability that this product will have is that it will not just help the student on the study but how to revise and memories like making poster, mind maps or flash card and other sort or memorizing thing or even making the student go through IQ test to see what the brain capacity of the student is in order to tell how hard or easy they will find studying.

Th product will be able to perform the following functions:

• Tell the student where they are struggling

• How they should revise when they should revise

• For how long they should revise

• For how long they should sleep or rest

• What sort of book they should buy?

• how they should plan their time table

• What other activity they should do
• If they should revise independently or in group

• Whether they are good enough for a subject

• Point the type of past paper they student should try

Target user profile:

The user will mainly use the product in an independent way to revise by themselves as this is the most efficient way of revising, they could have other people with whom they are revising on that Software with. But it will be mainly to the used independently.

In term, of how they will be revising on the product they could be test on different ways the software could bring up topics of what they are currently studying at school, this could be in the form of revision guides or test then the student will read through them, other way of revise could be by audio mostly for language the student could learn by listening to someone speaking And translating worlds of another language.

Or even the English language. Other forms of learning will include tests either on the software or printed out of the user to do individually.

The student will have to work on the product on time condition. They will have to use the product in time condition because this will determine if they can work well in exam condition or if they can’t and what could be don’t to help them work in exam condition and make them complete the whole exam.

Some other the m could be given extra time during the exam but most of them will onto so it will be important for them to work be able to work in exam conditions.

There are not able to work in exam conditions. There are not knowledge and experience require to be able to work with the software as all will be done by the student giving information to the software.

They software will be designed to be used the way the student work in class to not cause any sort of different that will make it harder for the student to be able to study on it.

All the student using the product will be using it for it to be able to make them better at some subject that they find hard and make them better at the subject they are currently doing good in and to make them better at exams.

Usability:

Because the product will be design for this particular end users, then it will be important for some details to be consider it for example the student that is learning using the product does not speak the English language correctly then the software will have the option of what language it will be in so that the student could feel more comfortable while learning on it.

For some student that cannot use computer in a correct way there will be some instruction on the software that could guide the client on how to use the software if they find it hard to use.

For some student the product could be hard to use as it will not just be used for revision but for the extra detail thing that are related to it like a timetable or other activities to help the student perform well in revision so they might find that there are a lot of things to manage on the software.

The software will include standard operating procedure that will be used by the student to help them managing all for their activity on the software this will include thing like this like notification option for when they need to start revising and when they need to stop revising.

Other option that this will include are this like a tracking sheet to tell them how their revision is improving and if they are doing good or not.

The tracking sheet will be used from when they started using the software to when they will end using it so that they could see all the improvement they have made.

And for the student that have some difficulties in learning English then they could be some dictionary to be sued for any word they don’t understand.

Performance:

The product will generally not be used to store information on it. However, the student could be able to upload revision notes on the software if they will find it helpful this mean that some data could be held on the software.

The amount of data been held on the software will be limited to because the software will be used as a general learning application, there will be a maximum of 4 gigabyte of data that will be able to be stored on the software.

this will mean that if the amount of data that the student is willing to store on the on the product will take more space than the total storage area of the product then they will have to tore one data at a time and when they will have finish using it they will delete it and store another data.

But if the amount for data they want to store is take less space than the four gigabytes the software storage then they could store all the data at once and use them at any time.

The product will be generally designed to be available to the client at any time if they are connected to the internet and if there are new updates to be made, they will made automatically.

The software will also be very fast in transferring data s it will be an application used on the internet and will to originally carry a lot of data on it unless the student upload some on it. Which will increase the product respond time.

The product will have a respond time of 4 millisecond. This will also be helped by the transfer rate which will be at 180 megabytes per second. The product will generally not have any effect on its own on the environment because it will be a software and not a physical machine however, they fact that it will have to use the internet, will mean that there will possibly be some cables that will be needed to make the internet connection work efficiently and this could affect the environment as this will bring the consumption of electricity everywhere the product is to be used.

Safety:

There will be many deign that will be made for the software to be safe as possible. One of them will be that the software will be a productivity software.

What it will do is that it will always remind the user to save their work after finishing.

Despite having other function like correcting grammar mistakes that the student could possibly come across, they will be some other security factor included. If the end user makes finishes working on the software, they will be able to save their work anywhere online where they could access the software.

This software will also be a utility software that will identify all types of viruses on the trying to enter the software and will automatically prevent it from doing so.

This will be possible by a use of a firewall that will detect any type of malicious virus by filtering the traffic that flow through the network and enters the software.

This will efficiently prevent loss of data or damage possibly caused by a virus that penetrated inside the software.

In addition, the user will have a password required to enter the software which will make the software safer to use as there will be restriction on only unauthorized users and only authorized user will be able to enter the software.

For more security this network could even be access by bio-metric identification.

This will mean that the physical detail like fact could be used to unlucky the software so they user will only have to use their face to open the software as a way of security this is design because it is more secure that having a password because a password can be hacked whereas a face recognition cannot be hacked as it will require the user ace t enter and if the software does not have the users face then it will not be unlocked.

The fact that the software will be a productivity Software will mean that its data stored on nit could not be lost. Because it will be utility software will mean that it will be more secure like no viruses or malware entering the software so damages cannot happen and because it will require a password protection will mean that unauthorized or unintended access to the software cannot be done.

Maintainability:

The product despite been a software could make the end user or the student uses come consumable some of these could be a printer.

The user could be willing to print out some document or past exam papers for practice this will require a printer which is a consumable.

Other sort of product that will be consider consumable are headphones.

The end user might use headphones for many reason if there in a quiet area with no noise then they might want to be working without making any noise but if they are revising a subject like English language then they will need some sort of speaking and listening practice and this will make noises so the use of headphone will be required.

The product could be regularly tested to see I there are anything wrong with it.

Even though they are some security design to prevent any harm or negative effect on the device there are still the same way in which the product could be affected so some regular activities to see if the product matches its requirement could be done by the end user to see if it is working without any issues.

The device could have many updates been done frequently it will not just be done once but these updated could be done any time each time that there is an update it will be done automatically on the software this sort of update could include anything even this like a background updates or even a notification update.

Some of the updates been done could also be linked to the student working on it this will mean that some automatic update could be done after a student have completed something on the product.

An example of this is that if a student for example was given a set of tutoring every day that will make them work extra hours then they could be a notification alarm on the software to remind the all the tome but if after a couple of period the student preforms will and don’t need to have those tutor time then the software could automatically be update to get rid of those tutor times.

The software will also be made to communicate with the school help desk as it will be a software belonging to the school. If there is anything wrong with the software, there will be a direct link that could make the student contact the school help desk and tell them what the issue is also that could fix the problem this could include bug fixed and error recovery.

Interface:

The way the product will interact with some hardware will depend on the hardware themselves.

For example, if the user is using a desktop that can access their school’s intranet then they will be suing the product as a regular software on the school’s intranet.

And if they are using the product on a smartphone then the product could be used as an application downloaded from the school website.

The product could also be use on a smartwatch, but this will be to make simple thing like alarms or send notifications. This interface with other hardware could be done with cable but like connecting the device on which the software is on to a printer or a headphone.

It can also be done without a cable like with a USB this will include connecting the Universal Serial Bus straight for the computer and this will make this like install document stored on the software directly to the USB or the other way round which means that the potential document stored on the USB could be stored on the software.

This interface with the software could also be done in a wireless way.

This could be by using a wireless headphone or a printer that work with a printer server.

As states earlier the product could be connected to other software like the help desk software of the school to automatically report all types of incident that have occur.

This will mean that the product could communicate with other useful software. This could also include communication between the student and the school for example if the student wants to send an email to the school not just the school help desk but to any other people in the school, they could do this directly through the software.
