For most of us, technology is a way to make our lives easier.

It’s another tool we can use for productivity and efficiency. But for some people, the idea of “technology these days is running your mind” has become a reality.

They think they can’t do anything without checking their phone every five minutes; the thought of going an hour without using it makes them feel anxious and uneasy.

“The technology you use impresses no one. The experience you create with it is everything.”

Sean Gerety

It might seem like they’re addicted to their devices, but that’s not true.

Technology actually has made it possible to be successful at work and home, which is why we need to stop defining ourselves as “addicted” and start thinking about how we can really reap the benefits from digital technology.

Here’s how technology is helping us build our 6-figure dream today.

Technology is helping us track our productivity

We’re working harder than ever before, and technology has made it easier to track our productivity. The days of pen and paper are long gone; now we have apps like Basecamp that allow us to keep track of tasks and deadlines for all our projects.

Technology is also making it easy for us to work remotely, which means we can work from home or any location we choose without having to worry about the time difference.

But with all these benefits come a few negative consequences that come with productivity tracking as well.

It’s important for us to remember that the data we collect online might be more beneficial than what we think it is. Technology has created a world where we’re able to make better decisions because we’re able to see what’s been successful so far and what hasn’t worked in the past.

In order for this technology to help us, however, we need to take ownership of our actions and make sure they’re aligned with our goals.

The way technology is changing the world around us makes it harder for people who aren’t using technology as much as they should be.

Sometimes being “addicted” means checking your phone every 5 minutes or spending too much time on social media however sometimes that could also be a good thing.

It lets us work from home

We all know that working from home is a great way to save money and get ahead in our careers. Working remotely allows us to be productive without having to rush back-and-forth between our homes and offices.

But with technology, it’s now possible to work from anywhere. Whether you’re at the office or on the road, you can easily work from a laptop or phone.

It’s easy to set up your own office in your hotel room or coffee shop, but more importantly, it’s possible to do just about anything online these days.

You can use apps like Skype for video calls, Google Hangouts for web conferences, and email for project management.

Work doesn’t have to take place in a traditional business setting anymore — you don’t have to worry about commuting either! Technology has made remote work easier than ever before; let technology make your life easier today by embracing this new trend of remote work!

It gives us motivation to get things done

Many people live for their social media accounts, checking them constantly to see what’s going on with their friends and loved ones. Social media is a great way to connect with others, but it can also have a negative impact on productivity.

“Technology like art is a soaring exercise of the human imagination.”

Daniel Bell

This is because once you start scrolling through your feed, you’re more likely to forget about the tasks you need to focus on, which could lead to missed deadlines, missed sales opportunities, and more.

So how do we avoid this? There are several ways technology helps us stay focused and motivated. Here are a few:

  • Use apps that offer scheduled notifications, so you never miss an important task ever again. These will alert you of tasks as they arise without interrupting your browsing experience or distracting your thoughts in any way.
  • For web browsers, use special blocking software like Self Control or Limitless which prevents websites from loading until the allotted time is over. This gives users the option of focusing solely on work-related content without risking the possibility of being distracted by other sites that may be more leisurely in nature. -The browser extensions also allow users to set certain websites as “allow” or “don’t allow” for specific hours of the day.

The Final Thoughts

Technology is the way of the future. It’s how we connect with friends and family, how we plan vacations, and how we do work.

But that doesn’t mean technology has taken over our lives.

Technology has made it possible to be more productive and efficient.

There are also benefits to learning new skills and continuing education in order to stay up on the latest trends and technologies.

Now, with technology becoming a part of our daily lives, it’s time to stop thinking of ourselves as addicted to our devices and start thinking about the ways technology is helping us achieve our goals.
