My job status went from on-call to laid off

The kitchen cook is an A$$

I was let go because the boss didn't want a woman washing dishes in the kitchen. While I'm relieved to be gone from that workplace, I'm still angry. The only boss who supported me left after an argument with the owner. After he quit, the main boss took over, acting superior and making the environment unbearable. On 10/16, I started my shift at 4:00 PM and found the dish pit already overflowing because the morning shift was eliminated, and only closers were scheduled. I started cleaning, but the other cook, admitted they were only washing what they needed, leaving the rest for me.

Starting work was overwhelming because the sewage pipes were backed up. As the dirty dishes piled up, my anxiety worsened. Bossman tried to handle it but failed, so a plumber was called. When I asked about their arrival, Bossman snapped at me for not helping enough. I explained that missing labels made it harder, but this only made me feel worse. More dishes kept coming in, and chaos took over the kitchen as things got out of control.

Once the plumber fixed the pipes that night, I still felt overwhelmed cleaning after four fundraising parties. I also had to make salads and desserts, which increased the pressure. The pile of dishes triggered a panic attack. Even after the parties, I faced a backlog, and pain in my ankle from long hours made things worse. I was exhausted and near collapse after standing nearly seven hours.

As the bossman left, I apologized for our earlier dispute. He told me that dishwashing was not a job for a woman, saying he wouldn't let his own wife do it, and suggested I find work elsewhere, perhaps in social media. He warned me that December would be worse and hinted that I should quit, telling me he's already seeking my replacement. I felt angry and helpless, wanting to help with the restaurant's social media, but I was told there was no budget. I offered to intern but was turned down. I'm now job searching, feeling blamed for issues beyond my control, and frustrated since the sewage problems weren't my fault, especially since I wasn't working for three days straight.

Even though my last few days working there were miserable, I still go there to eat because I love the food, and so does my daughter. So, I decided to go there just to get some lunch with my little girl, and out of curiosity, I asked how their social media was doing. They informed me that the guy who was supposedly doing it had quit and was working somewhere else. Thinking maybe this could be a chance for me to do some social media for them because I was looking for work at the time. I was told that, even though he no longer works for that company, he still handles their social media. All I could say is that the company can go to hell. I am truly happy I don’t have to see the bossman who is a Pink toad, yellow liver, nose picking, bucktooth, stupid ,idiotic boneheaded, pencil neck , I guess he's not as smart as he looks, lunatic, loud aggressive irritating son of a biatch!

On 10/19, I went to see the schedule at Scratch Kitchen, hoping to avoid interaction, but it wasn't posted. Bossman told me I only had one shift, Thursday from 4:00 to close, and would be on call the following week. It was clear I was being let go. He suggested I talk to someone about working in the front, but I prefer social media work, which I keep asking about but get brushed off. What hurt most was when Bossman said he didn't understand why the previous boss ever hired me, and that this job wasn't meant for me. He pretended to be polite but was really telling me to leave. I'm angry and hurt.
