Medium Is Officially Dead Oh Hail Vocal Media
Vocal Media Is New Medium
This month, I have decided to permanently stop utilizing the Medium platform, which I have been using for more than three years. I overlooked a number of things, particularly while I was concentrating on software and cybersecurity.
At the moment, Medium is just a forum for novice writers, and there is indirect content marketing. Nobody is willing to pay the platform money, particularly at this moment.
Forget about taking advantage of authors; even writers or content producers who go from Medium to Substack are trying to take advantage of one another.
I decided to become a member of Vocal Media. Because the business idea here is quite successful. If you start a new account on Medium and join the MPP program, the algorithm will still designate you as a rookie writer, and you will not be accepted by more experienced writers.
Over the last two years, a lot of people have left Medium for other platforms, and everyone who is still on Medium is feeling uncomfortable right now. I have seen the Onlyfans platform in action, and I have come to the opinion that its operating model is not a good one. This is despite the fact that most people prefer the Substack platform. That is why I am using Vocal Media.
In summary, the individuals on the site do not trust each other, and as a consequence, they do not make any money. I still have my old Medium account, but I no longer wish to click on any links from Medium. This is because they are all just clickbait.
Despite the fact that many publications have been created on Medium, it is still full with lies. People complain about it on Reddit, and I think the business model is no longer working.
When I look at writers who are new to the field, they can only write something along the lines of "I earned this much." I think Medium has become a pretty ridiculous platform.
I have no intention of going back there.
All of the writers I know are leaving Medium, and those who are beginning to write on Substack are trying to get people from Medium to join them on Substack.
Or another writer launches a magazine and uses someone else's work without their consent. Blogs are already vanishing, or individuals are just focusing on the positive aspects.
Writers who are simple are just interested in trends. The moment the Medium accounts start making a lot of money, they may suspend you immediately. I think the business model is quite bad, and I will not create a new account until it gets better.
The publication, which is interested in my work, is just concerned with making money from adverts and nothing more. That is why I have decided to continue posting the information on Vocal Media.
People will become aware when the time is right. On the other side, the Medium platform has not been managed well during the last two years.
If you are a freelance writer or freelancer, please use this platform to display your portfolio. From my point of view, much of the text is totally pointless.
I am sharing my story here, and anybody who wants to may do anything they want. Because I am tired from arguing with authors and editors.
To summarize, if we are going to the extent of battling with folks even behind Paywall. I'm sorry, but I don't spend any money there. I have already deleted my newly created account, and I have no plans to go back to it. (History is always repeating itself.)
Bla bla bla bla
From now on my new home is Vocal Media
