Here are some questions that we have asked Jonathan Sim about writing on Vocal Media.
Question: How did you find out about Vocal Media?
Jonathan Sim: I started writing back in 2017, i was writing for Moviepirate but they closed and started looking into different ways and I discovered Vocal Media.
Q: For a very absolute begineer please explain what is Vocal Media?
Jonathan Sim: Vocal Media is a basically a writing platform basically you can write about different subjects, when you write an article, you can submit to a specific publication like for beats for music, horror for horror related stories. In order to make money, you make money based on how many reads you get. The more reads you get, the more money you will make.
My opinion in the video: You make $6/1,000 reads if you are a Vocal+ member and $3.8/1,000 reads if you are just a normal creator on Vocal Media.
Q: Do you think the publication we sent stories to get more reads?
In order to get a lot of reads takes a lot of promotion and luck. If you work hard enough and you keep writing, Vocal Media might be a very good platform.
Q: You write On Vocal Media, why not writing on Medium, HubPages, or Write.as?
Jonathan Sim: Honestly, I do have an account on Medium, I think Vocal is a good platform. My writing on Vocal was most successful, it may not be the same for everyone, I felt very comfortable writing on Vocal Media.
Q: SEO factor is very important, some of my stories published on Medium are ranked for high-competitive keywords, Vocal Media has the extension of Media while Medium has dot Com extension, do you think the negative SEO affects your reads?
Writing on Medium Vs Writing on Vocal, there are a lot of people who find writing on Medium as oppose to Vocal, I guass there are some of the things that could work for writers on Medium while there is a lot of people who write on Vocal. If you write quality stories, your stories will be staff pick and get features on their social media accounts.
For you what makes Vocal a different writing platform?
You can write for all those platforms, and everything split around, but on Vocal, there are dedicated communities for every topic. The Vocal is a small community but if you get lucky and write a high-quality article, it might generate more views.
This was the snippet of the Interview we conducted with Jonathan Sim who is making $2000 a month writing on Vocal Media. Jonathan Sim made in total $8,000 writing on Vocal Media, he tells me in the Interview. According to him; Writing consistently and writing about things that you are passionate about is the best way to get more reads and so make more money writing on Vocal Media.
Writing online is a privilege. Treat your blog posts or stories you publish as a product, and after a month or two, you will clearly see a huge surge in your earnings and reads.
In my first ever video about making money writing on Vocal Media, i have shown my $0.07 earnings but now I am making over $200 writing on this platform. I knew, or should I say, I believe in myself that this platform is best for writing and making money.
I hope this helps.
