Law of Attraction Lessons from a Free Lemonade
Simple Story About Receiving, Gratitude, and Alignment

It was a normal afternoon, the sun was shining slightly, and I had just gone for my lunchtime walk. As is typical of my lunchtime walks, I stopped at a local drive-through to grab some lunch.
I ordered my regular drink with my food - an iced coffee.
Everything was going according to my normal plan. When the person at the window handed me my items, she said, "Here, do you want this lemonade? I made it by accident."
I smiled and said yes and thank you and went on my way.
These Moments Are Validation of Alignment
I thought about it afterwards, and I realized I had just experienced what I've heard Gabby Bernstein call driftwood and I believe she learned it from Abraham-Hicks. These are little moments of validation that what we're working on manifesting is on its way to us.
They are signs or hints that we are attracting what we desire - that its on the way to us. Now, I don't want to get into what I'm manifesting (but I'm sure you can guess), but let's just say that the monent was aligned and it made me feel happy.
Receiving with Gratitude Helps Us Receive More Abundance
Something happened after I accepted that lemonade. I went to purchase a few items from Amazon, only to learn they were free because of a mysterious gift certificate.
I have no idea where it came from, and even after researching I couldn't figure it out. I stopped researching, paused, and gave thanks for this wonderful blessing.
Things like this have been happening to me all week, and the lemonade is what kicked it off.
Learning How Not to "Chase" to Achieve Our Goals
I used to love the word "hustle" because it symbolized to me that hard work helps us achieve what we want. Now, the word annoys me. It has such negative connotations!
Yes, I do believe we need to work on our goals and not sit idly waiting for things to happen.
Yes, I believe we need to set goals and take make measurable actions towards them.
No, I don't think we need to "hustle" anymore. The word makes me picture running on a treadmill, sweating, breathing heavy, but actually going nowhere.
Accepting these little gifts with gratitude puts is into receiving energy. This takes us off the hustle treadmill and into a feeling of achieving while
Easy Ways to Put this Into Practice
Daily Gratitude Practice
Although the free lemonade may have seemed random, it wasn't. I've been doing a gratitude practice for a long time, but it was inermittent.
I've recently stepped things up and started listing out at least ten things each day that I am thankful for. After about a week, my mood and level of happiness imprvoed a lot.
Then, little things started happening - slight shifts - such as encountering helpful strangers who would help me with my bags or hold doors open for me (they weren't there before).
The lemonade was a milestone for me - it marked the beginning of actually Receiving gifts.
Keep a Gratitude Journal
The next item that I believe has helped is that I keep a gratitude journal. This is basically a giant list of items that I feel thankful for. Unlike my daily practice, this list has 100+ items on it.
In the beginning of my daily gratitude practice, I would read from this list. Now, I am in the habit of being grateful, so I don't need to do it. I simply reserve some time about once a month to add to the list.
When I first started nurturing my feelings of gratitude, it didn't come as easily. After about a month or so, it became second nature. If you decide to try any of these practices, let me know how they work out for you!
