Monday, May 2nd 2022

I don't sleep very well at all and around 5:30 AM Shelby wakes me up and says I'm snoring. So rude. I'm pissed, and I want Shelby to get a good sleep, so I just wake up and take a shower.

I put in Beard Balm and Cologne Balm.

I head downstairs and order a Lavender Matcha Latte with Oat Milk from Good Coffee. I sip and wait for Shelby to wake up.

Around 8 I order a vegan breakfast burrito from the coffee shop and get a Tamarind Date Coffee Soda, but it's not very good.

Shelby finally brings down our scones from yesterday and we feast.

We check out of the hotel and walk to Stumptown Coffee Roasters. I try to get a pour over, but they don't offer that. I just get a black coffee of their drip, and Shelby gets a Cappuccino.

Then we take a Lyft to the airport.

We arrive at PDX and stop by a store where I get a Nitro Dry Stout, but after I buy it the guy says I can't drink it in the airport or on the plane. I'm pissed, because if I knew that I just would not have gotten it.

We board the plane and fly to LAS. I get two Buffalo Trace Bourbons and a coffee. Once we deplane into the Las Vegas we search for food but there really isn't any. We try the place in our terminal called Moe's. They have burritos. I get a veggie burrito and the guy asks me what meat I want. None of course. But they have no veggies for the veggie burrito and barely put any rice or beans in it. I get some jalapenos and hot sauce. It's not very good.

We search the airport for coffee. I get a large black coffee from Dunkin' Donuts.

I drink it while we wait the two hours for our plane.

Shelby goes to a bar and gets a white wine. She gets me a Stella Artois. We drink and snack on a thing of Chex Mix.

Finally our plane boards.

It's a short 45-minute flight to LAX. We deplane and find our Flyaway bus. It's a long trip back because of the traffic due to construction.

We drive home from the parking lot and give Loki lots of lovings.

I shower with Bourbon, 2-n-1, Head and Shoulders, Shampoo/Conditioner. I use a bar of soap called Man Bar that smells like Taco Bell's meat seasoning. Then I lather myself with Duke Cannon Buffalo Trace Bourbon Soap and rinse. I then smother myself with body wash: Duke Canon THICK Bourbon Bodywash. After rinsing I rinse my hair. Then I use my Duke Cannon Buffalo Trace Bourbon Plant-Based Beard Wash. I rinse. I dry and comb my red beard with its elegant white streaks.

I put on Axe Apollo Fresh Stick, because they were out of Phoenix.

I take my pills for the first time in two days.

Then we go to bed.

And that's it.

Overall thoughts on Portland Trip: It was my first big trip with Shelby in our 6 years of dating. It was a lot of fun. I absolutely loved it. I think it's the first Vacation where I wasn't super stressed and it was actually fun and relaxing. I really want to go back. I want to live there. It's so beautiful, and the traffic isn't near as bad as it is here. I miss it a lot. I liked our hotel too, but I could have done with the Goat Man staring at me while I tried to sleep.
