Is Medium Membership Worth It? A 5-Months of Medium Subscription Experience

I am writing on Medium for over 2 years now and the platform evolves a lot. When I joined Medium, I had no intention to buy Medium membership but later on, when I was making a good amount of money on Medium, I started my Medium membership which costs $5 per month. I think, paying $5 to read unlimited articles on Medium is definitely worth it.

For over 1-year I was writing on Medium without joining the Medium Partner program because at that time Medium partner program wasn't available in the country I am living in. When I joined the Medium partner program through this method, I started putting more effort into creating content on Medium and have posted over 25 stories in just one month, later on, I find out that this is actually not that good.

In general, for every Medium account holder, you can read 3 articles on Medium for free on monthly basis. Even if you are a first time visitor to Medium, you can read 3 articles, and then you have to make an account on Medium to read 3 more free articles on Medium, after that, you have to pay a standard Medium subscription charge ($5/month or $50/Year) to access or read unlimited articles on Medium on monthly or yearly basis.

After over 4 months of Joining the Medium partner program, I bought Medium membership which costs just $5/month. There are multiple benefits of having Medium membership which I explained below;

I was a student when I started writing on Medium and I haven't subscribed to Medium subscription till I was making more than $5 a month. 2. You can leave a response on other Medium writers' articles. Medium is a social media site for writers and you could increase your chances of getting discovered if you leave a response.
3. You can read articles on Medium-owned publications. Medium-owned publication publishes some of the best work, honestly, I would pay an extra $5 to read content just on Medium-owned publication. You should definitely check it out if you haven't already.
4. Being a Medium member shows the credibility and seriousness toward writing on Medium. Honestly, If I am an editor of a Medium publication then the first thing I would check is that "Is the writer a Medium member?" even though it isn't a huge factor but still it counts.
5. Medium is a good platform and you should write and interact with fellow writers. As Medium is a social media site for writers, getting a Medium membership could help you to leave a response, getting into popular publications as it increases your trust level and also could help you depict as a serious writer on Medium.

For anyone, Medium is a good writing platform and it is one of the revolutionary platforms where you don't need to pay anyone to write content and make money writing. Just by spending $5 a month, you are getting a lot more value compared to anything online. You could spend $9.99 on a Netflix subscription which is a great source to waste your time or if you are smart then you could enjoy your time on Netflix and spent quality time but just by investing $5 a month, you could learn almost anything you are interested in.

Most people have asked; "Is Medium membership is worth it?" My answer is; Yes, Medium membership is definitely worth it and you should definitely go for it.

Medium s a great writing platform as anyone could go there, start posting quality content and the writer could make thousands of dollars on Medium. According to Medium, just 5% of the Medium writers make $100+ a month. Medium.com had a huge number of writers and if 5% of them are making more than $100+ a month then this is very good news. Also, Every month, Medium pay over $100,000 to writers on its platform which is why Medium is one of the popular websites out there.
