I Disappeared For A While

Holy cow, I can't believe it's been five years since I have written on here. Times flies when your life is utter chaos most of the time! haha

I was going through my emails and saw vocal pop up. I thought to myself, why did I stop writing on there? I need to sign back in and get back to it. So here we are.

Let me tell you, a lot has changed since 2020. The few things that haven't changed? We are still on the farm raising goats, running the soap making business, and being a mom.

As for the new things. My daughter is now 5. I had my son in 2022. And we are now expecting a 3rd child in April 2026. We got married in 2023. And we are no longer selling in our original two brick and mortar stores. We have switched to a store 2 hours away, and making more money than we did in town. We still occasionally sell on Etsy or our website when I can make a bunch of extras.

We now have around 40 goats, and we have switched up our way of raising them and how our business will move forward on the livestock side of things. As always, life is busy with animals, kids, and making stuff. I still love making soaps and lotions. We have really opened up our horizons and started making more items. We now offer Goat Milk Soap & Lotions. We also make Wax Melts, Car Fresheners, Bath Salts, Beard Oils, Beard Balms, Salves, Bath Oil, Perfume Spray, Lip Balm, Lip Gloss, Powdered Bubble Bath, Shampoo Bars, and more items to come!

If you would have told me 10 years ago that'd I'd have 3 kids, be a stay at home mom, and a small business by the time I was 31. I would have thought you were crazy. It's crazy how life can just go any way with little choices that are made, and I am so happy I made them. I wouldn't change any of it. This life is crazy, but it's mine.

It is crazy to think in a few short months I will be having goat kids in February, then my own in April. It is going to be a busy 2026. I have so many things I want to do in 2026, including really getting my YouTube Channel up and going. I sporadically post on there, because I am the absolute worst about picking up a camera any time we are doing something. I love to try and be in the moment, especially with my kiddos. So i often forget to grab the camera or take videos. Some days are better than others, but I am sure trying. It will help when I have a better quality camera to video with. I am really hoping to document our kidding season next year, because who doesn't love seeing baby goats? That is why spring is my favorite time of year. We should at least 24 goats having babies next year. Hopefully all 26 of my does when we get the 2 rebred. We lost some of my favorite girls in the last 5 years, but I also have some of my original girls who really made me fall in love with the dairy goat world. Unfortunately one of those girls is older, so she won't be having babies for much longer. We can just enjoy the last few she has in the next couple of years.

I'm not sure what to write about next, but I will be writing about more specific subjects in my next articles. I just wanted to check back in and find the audience that wants to read about our life. Thanks for checking us out and we sure hope you stick around.
