Every business organisation has goals and objectives to achieve. This cannot be done with one employee or two, but with everyone in the organisation as a whole. This requires everyone to act with synergy and utmost cooperation. This is where managing the productivity and the efficiency of organisational teams comes to play an important role. If you are not yet sure as to how to improve these qualities in your team, read this article!

Your goals should be realistic first

Any teamwork will never be effective if it doesn't have clear goals and objectives. Every member of the team should be made aware of these goals, and then only, they can be all achieved. But, what if the goals set by you for your team are not so realistic? What if they are not achievable? Understand the capacity and the potentials of your team members, and set your goals according to those. It's also a very important thing to track the progress. Once you set your main goal, set some objectives with time frames, and never forget to track the process and see whether it's all under control.

The roles and tasks of each member should be clear

After setting objectives, you need to carry out different tasks to achieve each of them. List down the tasks that should be done and (if possible) have an understanding of their deadlines as well. Take all tasks one by one, and have an estimate of how much time the team will take to complete the tasks. Every member of the team is equally important and assign tasks for them based on their specialties. This is just like how co-living in Bangkok works at a property such as lyf Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok, where each member has a role when it comes to the shared living space. It's a shared effort and everybody should enjoy the whole process.

Feedback is important

Trusting each other when working as a team is very crucial in terms of improving productivity. One of the main factors contributing to this is the organisational culture. If you are the team leader (or the manager or the head of a division), ask your team members if they are comfortable with the process and if they face any challenges. This means you make them feel valued by taking feedback from them. Also, don't forget to give feedback. If you have a suggestion with you that they could try out to improve the overall effectiveness, tell that to them politely and let them try that. Have an open ear for all their complaints, comments, and suggestions always.

Schedule your meetings wisely

Although the objective of any meeting is to improve productivity, today, they sometimes tend to ruin the productivity of the organisation. Don't let this happen to you and your team. If you are the one who is hosting the meeting, make sure you have objectives set for the meeting and an agenda pre-prepared. If you just need two or three members of your team for the meeting, invite just them and let others do their work. If the same matter can be discussed over the phone or simply by sending an email, just go for it without spending some good hours sitting in a meeting room.

Make communications clear and productive

The tip is to have a single communication system for your team. Since everything goes digital and online nowadays, you can try out a platform such as a team messenger and make sure everyone knows everything that's going on. It won't necessarily be just the work-related matters, you may use the same platform to share other matters as well.
