How to improve and make cash for your art career if you're struggling
Here are seven tips on how to make money or improve your art career.
Art is a good hobby and career for many people, but sometimes it does not make a great amount of money. So I can give you seven tips on how to make money and improve your art career if you're struggling.
1. Combine art and something you also love.
My story is simple. I love to write and draw. But when I combine it together, I form a comic. I feel like I would get an amount of money if I keep doing this.
Combining your second hobby can help maintain an awesome life by inventing something nobody has ever seen before. It boosts your creativity for what you have during your lifestyle. The more things you have the better it will be a fortune.
Here are some examples:
- Sewing + Art
- Recycling + Art
- Animation + Art
2. Think of what people like
As for my story, a lot of people I know love anime and video games. So I made my own comics based on it.
People have opinions. Think about other people and what they like about the outside world. For example, look up the most viewed video on Youtube, where billions love to explore this certain type of topic. You get much respect and knowledge on how to impact viewers.
3. Be original
I wrote a short story about a man who uses his painting and later turns into his hallucinations. That feels original? Yes. I got inspiration from cartoons, realistic art, painting, and Vincent Van Gogh. Yes, this is crazy. But it is the special cannon to impact your career.
Make something that you got inspired by but not take it too seriously. Add your lifestyle (the strongest point of making an original) and sprinkle on some creativity. This grows your uniqueness for the most part.
4. Read reviews and commands from other people
I have people saying my comics are good, but people need to be so serious about my comics. Sometimes I have made mistakes but people still love it.
Yes, this is the worst and the best part of your art career. This is because you are learning your mistakes or something you miss from your artwork. If you do listen to the commands, this will make you a better artist. Either your viewers love it or hate it, understand what you need to do in your next project.
5. Start a social media platform
I used to hate social media until I put my comics there and everyone loved it.
I know people get addicted to social media but this helps artists to connect with others for love and something fun to view. Using their work can make a super boost on empathy and money from other people around the country or even worldwide.
6. Form your own museum on the first day of preparation
There is a moment I want my painting pins to be on display at my house.
For people who are not ready to sell their artwork, go to an art museum first and give ideas on what you can do for your fair. Setting up your own museum helps you learn peoples' expressions, commands, and interests.
7. Selling your artwork for the last day of preparation
In my opinion, I would sell them when I am close to retirement.
If you have lots of fans, selling your masterpiece can work well. With much love and care, your fans will understand supporting you. And you understand the value of hard work.
I hope this helps you find your path or heal your broken soul for your art career. See ya.
