The city of golden deserts, glittering skyscrapers and mind-blowing extravagance, Dubai is a destination that leaves you absolutely spoiled for choice. Travellers to the desert metropolis are never out of things to see or do; if anything, finding enough time to experience all that the city has to offer might be the real challenge. So, if you are short on time but want to make the most of your visit, here’s a perfect 3-day itinerary that lets you experience the best of Dubai. Come, explore!

Day 1: Discover the Old and New Dubai

Morning: Explore the Historic Al Fahidi District

Kick off your exploration of Dubai by stepping back in time. Make your way to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where the Dubai of centuries past is still alive. The old-world quarter is filled with wind towers, art galleries, and sprawling museums, inviting everyone to experience the quaint charm.

Afternoon: Dubai Frame and Lunch in Zabeel Park

The mammoth golden frame in the middle of Zabeel Park is a must-have on any Dubai itinerary. At 150 metres in height and 95 metres in width, Dubai Frame holds the record for the largest frame in the world.

Take in sweeping views of both the old and new Dubai, as the frame’s strategic location near the sky bridge makes it the perfect vantage point to experience the contrast between the two sides of the city.

After feasting your eyes on the stunning cityscape, treat yourself to a picnic in Zabeel Park or dine at one of the cafes nearby.

Evening: Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa

Dubai and the city’s association with shopping is one that needs no introduction. For arguably the best shopping experience in the Gulf city, head to the ritzy Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping malls in the world. With a total area of 12 million square feet, Dubai Mall isn’t just a shopping mall but is also a 10-million-litre aquarium, a VR park, and an Olympic-sized ice rink.

Wrapping up your retail therapy, hop, skip and jump to Dubai’s undisputed crown jewel, the towering Burj Khalifa. Zoom up to the observation decks at the 124th and 125th floors, where you are greeted by panoramic city views.

Day 2: Adventure, Desert, and Skyline Views

Morning: Dune Bashing Adventure

No trip to the Middle East would be complete without some exhilarating dune bashing, and Dubai, of all places, is certainly no exception. Hop in the mighty 4WDs and brace yourself for a stomach-churning roller coaster ride through the golden deserts. It is an experience that is sure to give you that long-awaited rush of adrenaline.

Afternoon: Souk Madinat and Lunch

Shopping has evolved to become part of the classic holiday experience, and longing shoppers headed to Dubai are not alone. Make your way to the atmospheric Souk Madinat and treat yourself to some authentic Emirati-style shopping. Browse the traditional market to pick up a souvenir or two to take back home, and wrap up your shopping with a scenic lunch.

Evening: Marina Dhow Cruise

As the sun goes down and the golden skies set the scene, head to Dubai Marina and board a dhow cruise dinner. Hop aboard the traditional wooden boat at sunset and set sail across the unruffled waters. Enjoy a buffet dinner with live entertainment, as the illuminated skyline makes the perfect backdrop for the evening. Finally, retreat to one of the finest 5-star resorts in Dubai, including the likes of Anantara World Islands Dubai, and call it a day.
