How I turned $200 into $1,000 in a month
"Affiliate marketing is a great way to monetize your website and make money from your blog."

One of my life goals is to have a successful affiliate marketing business. The idea behind affiliate marketing is that you recommend products and services on your website (or social media accounts) and get paid for every sale that's made through those referrals. You can make as much or as little money as you'd like by either choosing high-paying products or by promoting lots of different companies at once. I'm here today to show you just how easy it is to start making money online with affiliate marketing - and how it can help increase the profitability of your blog (or other online property).
Earn commission on every sale you refer
Earn commission on every sale you refer - This is a very powerful way to earn money. You can earn a commission when you refer someone who purchases from an advertiser you're connected with or if they sign up for an affiliate program. The best part is that the advertiser will pay you even if they don't sell anything but just sign up for their service (or buy something) and then cancel their account later on. Many companies have at least one product which has no monthly fee or at least one area of their site where they offer free access or trial periods so this is a great way to make money while getting others started with the business too!
Direct readers to a product they'll love
You can make a lot of money selling products, but it's not easy. You need to choose a product that people want, that you can easily recommend to others, and that you are able to sell easily.
If you want your readers to buy something from you, then this is the most important thing for them to know about: what makes it so special? Why should they buy this product instead of any other? What does this product offer them? How will it make their lives better or easier or more enjoyable in some way?
What makes this product different than all other similar products out there on the market (and why would anyone want something different)?
Choose affiliate programs you can stand behind
I would caution you to choose affiliate programs that you know, trust, and are relevant to your blog. You want to be able to stand behind the products or service that you're promoting and support what they offer. If an affiliate program doesn't have a good reputation or is difficult to use, it could lead readers astray when they try out the product.
For example, if I were writing about fashion accessories on my blog and wanted to promote an accessory brand through their affiliate program, I would want them to have a good reputation with their customers because it would reflect poorly on my site if there were any negative comments about them. They also should be easy for me as well as my readers so that people don't get frustrated trying out their products (because let's face it - we all have enough frustration in our lives).
Test and measure your affiliate marketing results
Once you've created a landing page, the next step is to test, measure and analyze your results. To do this you will need to track two things:
- How many visitors arrived at your landing page?
- What actions did they take?
To track how many visitors arrive: You can use Google Analytics or another analytics program.
To track what actions they took: You can use Google Analytics again but also add some custom javascript code to the bottom of your pages that asks visitors if they viewed an offer (like an e-book), entered an email address for a giveaway, or read more about something specific on the site before arriving at the landing page. If a visitor does any of these things then we can record them as conversion events so we know what percentage of our traffic converted into leads or sales after being shown our affiliate link/product/service etcetera.
Affiliate marketing is a profitable way to monetize a blog
Affiliate marketing is a great way to monetize your blog.
Affiliate marketing is just what it sounds like - you make money by referring people to products or services, and getting paid for each sale that you refer. You can earn commission on every sale your readers make when they click the links on your website.
It's important to note that affiliate marketing doesn't necessarily mean selling other people's products (although this is one way of doing it). It can also be used as an organic way to promote products and services that you believe in as well! So if someone has created something awesome, why not share it with others? If they like what they see after reading some reviews or demos of their product/service, then there's a good chance other people might too!
Conclusion
My goal with this blog post was to show you how I turned $200 into $1,000 in one month by using affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a great way to monetize your website and make money from your blog. As long as you choose a program with products that will be relevant and useful for your readers, it's easy to build up a following that trusts your recommendations!
