These past few months have been tough for me. I faced major setbacks in my business and personal life, but I won’t go into much detail about everything that’s happened. I will say though, that I feel like I’m starting again, and that’s fine.

I’m ready for the challenge.

I remember times when I would post three to four articles a day on different platforms, and my blog, I was a beast! Then things took a turn for the worst and I haven’t been able to work as much.

I’ve had the time to reflect and refocus though, so that’s one good thing.

Today I want to inspire you to keep going, things will get better, as long as you believe and you’re willing to put in the time and effort to transform your life once again.

So, here’s how I’m rebuilding my digital business after facing some major setbacks.

Affirming and praying for renewed success

I affirm and pray for the success of my business, and I have to say, I can’t imagine not having the time or energy to pray and affirm, it’s so important.

1. Prayers:

Praying, whether it’s to God, the universe, or simply an expression of your inner thoughts and hopes, can provide comfort in difficult moments. Prayer gives you a chance to pause, reflect, and release your fears or frustrations. It can offer:

Connection to Something Greater: Knowing that you’re not alone and that you can turn to a higher power, a supportive force, or even the universe for guidance, can make you feel more anchored.

Release of Worry: When you're going through hardships, your mind often becomes cluttered with anxious thoughts. Prayer offers an opportunity to let go of that mental weight by sharing it with something outside of yourself.

Gratitude: Even in the hardest times, prayer can remind you of what you’re thankful for. Gratitude often shifts our focus from what we lack to what we still have, which can help ease despair.

Healing: Whether you're praying for yourself or others, prayer can be an emotional healing tool, helping to restore hope and a sense of peace.

2. Affirmations:

Affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to yourself in order to challenge negative or limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering ones. The repetition of affirmations can shift your mindset and emotional state. Here's how they work:

Positive Reprogramming: The human mind is deeply influenced by the words we say to ourselves. Affirmations help to counteract self-doubt, fear, or negativity by reminding you of your inherent strength, worth, and potential.

Focus on the Present: Often, when you're struggling, your thoughts can spiral into the past (regrets) or future (fears). Affirmations bring you back to the present moment and help ground you in reality.

Boost Self-Confidence: Repeating affirmations like "I am strong," "I am capable," or "This too shall pass" can gradually build your self-esteem and confidence, helping you believe that you can handle whatever life throws your way.

Attracting Positivity: Positive affirmations can also help shift your energy. When you speak positively, you start to look for positive aspects in your environment and in yourself, creating a cycle of positivity.

When You're Going Through a Tough Time:

Prayer Example:

"Dear God, give me the strength to endure this difficult moment. Please surround me with peace and guide me through the challenges I am facing. Help me find clarity in my heart and resilience in my spirit."

Affirmation Examples:

"I trust that everything happening right now is for my highest good."

"I am stronger than this challenge, and I will come out of this wiser."

"I am deserving of peace, happiness, and love, no matter the circumstances."

"Each day is a new opportunity for healing and growth."

Both prayers and affirmations can be done out loud or in your mind, and can be personalized based on your needs. The important thing is to believe in the words you’re speaking, even if it feels hard at first. Over time, you’ll likely begin to feel a shift in your perspective.

Have you ever used prayer or affirmations during tough times?

Doing content challenges

When I used to write daily on Medium, I was known as the challenge Queen because I was doing some kind of challenge, and these challenges were instrumental to my success on the platform.

So now, I’m doing a challenge on Vocal, one on my blog, and one on YouTube. It sounds overwhelming, I know, but I’m making the challenge slightly easier on YouTube because I’m not focusing on long form content for the main challenge, I’m focusing on short form content which is much easier to produce.

Here’s an article I published about my Vocal Media challenge:

In the article, I break down my latest challenge for Vocal Media, and I’m excited to embark on this journey once again.

Creating valuable digital products

Over the years, I’ve made thousands from digital products, and I’m currently working on more digital products to add additional income streams to my business. The truth is, I don’t rely on this income anymore, as I’ve recently gained a software engineering qualification therefore, I’m working on building more income streams from that high income skill.

Here’s an example of a digital product that I recently released:

I’ll also create digital planners, trackers, and mini courses.

Creating more high-value content

People want solutions to their problems, and while I enjoy producing creative content, it’s my first love and passion; it doesn’t produce much income. I make the most money when I create “how to” or “why to” content.

I have expertise in blogging, content creation, manifestation, digital product sales and creation, and Machine Learning. Therefore, I will create more content to help and solve problems. I have a list of ideas, and I’ll work through those ideas for this content creation challenge. I’m excited to jump back on the wagon with this because it’s been a while since I’ve really sunk my teeth into content creation again. I’m ready.

Final Thoughts

Rebuilding a digital business after setbacks can feel daunting, but it’s also an opportunity for growth, reinvention, and a fresh start. Through prayer, affirmations, content challenges, creating valuable digital products, and focusing on high-value content, I’ve found ways to regain momentum and make progress, even in the face of adversity.

It’s easy to get discouraged when life throws curveballs, but what matters most is how we respond. Whether it’s tapping into the power of mindset shifts through affirmations, embracing challenges to reignite creativity, or diversifying income streams with digital products, the journey is about perseverance.

I hope this post has inspired you to take that first step, no matter how small it may seem, in rebuilding what matters most to you. Challenges are part of the journey, but they don’t define us. Your vision, belief in yourself, and willingness to adapt will lead you through the tough times and onto success.

Keep going. Keep learning. And most importantly, keep believing in the possibility of brighter days ahead. The comeback is always stronger than the setback.
