Don't Count On Others For Anything

Life is full of unanticipated experiences. Sometimes reality and our expectations are completely different things. Expectations are wonderful, they give purpose and joy, and they give you something to look forward to, but you have to understand: life is not always in your control. Some expectations are wonderful, while others are unhelpful. Here is a list of expectations that should be changed. By adjusting some of your expectations in life, you will have new experiences, new thinking, and even a greater sense of accomplishment than ever before.

  Stop expecting perfection from others

If you always expect people to be perfect, you are bound to be disappointed all the time because people can never live up to your expectations. There's nothing wrong with having high expectations but remember: even if the person doesn't do it, they're doing their best. So be considerate and don't expect perfection. Stop Expecting the Worst from Others

Conversely, if you think someone will fall flat on their face, you're killing their chances of success. You should encourage them more, help them, and guide them. That way they can grow and conquer the odds.

Stop expecting others to pay for you

You should take responsibility for your financial situation and stop expecting others to take you out, pay your bills or pay for your groceries. Mind your pocketbook, set a budget, and stick to it. Just because all your friends are eating out doesn't mean you have to go along. There is a difference between "need" and "desire": if you desire something, save your own money, and don't expect friends and family to buy it for you.

Stop worrying that everything is going wrong

No matter how unlucky you feel right now, don't imagine countless bad luck because of it. Learn to stay positive. If you have a good heart, you will find good, and vice versa. If you think that nothing will turn out the way you expect it to, it will not.

Stop expecting everything to be fair

Life is not always fair. Sometimes you work hard and don't get recognized or rewarded, and that's just the way it is. So be open-minded: give it all you've got, but don't expect anything in return.

Stop expecting everything to be easy

If you always pick the easy things to do, you'll never be great. Life will test you when you're not expecting it, so you have to challenge the odds and stay strong. Anything worth having in this world requires hard work, diligence, and discipline. If you settle for mediocrity, you will become mediocre.

Stop expecting to get something for nothing

You will never achieve what you want if you desire it and don't put in the effort. Want to lose weight? Then start eating healthy and exercising regularly. You'll never be slim and beautiful if you keep eating as you please! If you want something, then go for it!

  Stop expecting others to change

We are all attached to our habits and like everything to be fixed and comfortable. It's okay to change, but it's time-consuming. If you expect others to change, start by changing yourself. Your power lies in changing yourself and no one else; once you realize this, life will become much more comfortable. Stop expecting others to give up everything for you

You are not the only unfortunate person in the world. When you have a hard time, you can seek comfort from friends and family, but please don't ask for more than you need. It is healthy to learn to take care of yourself and be independent. You can certainly stand on your own two feet, and don't let your friends and family miss out on the important things in their own lives by helping you.

Having something to look forward to is about finding balance in your life. You must know when you are asking for too much and when you can expect more. Of course, this is not easy to do, but we have to put aside unrealistic expectations and try to live a healthy and happy life, right?
