'Deadpool & Wolverine' Cameos
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Surprise Comic-Con's Hall H with 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Cameos

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman Crash Comic-Con’s Hall H with All the Cameo Stars from ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
The much-anticipated "Deadpool & Wolverine" finally hit theaters, but stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman saved their grandest press tour moment for last. The duo, along with co-star Emma Corrin, director Shawn Levy, and Marvel chief Kevin Feige, made a spectacular entrance at San Diego Comic-Con. They presented the Hall H audience with an unexpected screening of the film on its global release day. Spoiler alert: details ahead.
Dubbed "The Ultimate Deadpool & Wolverine Celebration of Life," the special event capped off a hectic day for Reynolds, Jackman, and Levy, who had flown in from Los Angeles after attending Feige’s Walk of Fame Ceremony. The group took the stage one by one, reminiscing as if it were a typical Comic-Con panel. Reynolds fondly recalled his nervousness during his first Comic-Con with the original "Deadpool" movie.
"I was the most nervous human being you would ever see," Reynolds said. "It was a dream come true, but making that movie for you and seeing your love for it was incredibly gratifying."
He continued, "I felt a deep connection with you all that I had been yearning for. I'll never forget that moment, especially with this guy backstage," he added, nodding to Jackman.
Jackman jumped in, "I was standing just over there. When the chant 'One more time' started, I knew we had to replay the footage or they’d tear Hall H down."
The nostalgia set the stage for a clip of co-star Leslie Uggams (as Blind Al) demanding, "Can we skip the bullshit and just show the damn movie?"
The announcement of the screening electrified the 6,500-strong crowd, who suddenly understood the significance of their Wolverine-head popcorn buckets. As the lights dimmed, ushers handed out popcorn, and Reynolds, Jackman, Feige, and the rest settled into the audience.
Throughout the two-hour runtime, the audience reacted wildly to the major moments, particularly the Easter eggs and surprise cameos. Each reveal drew thunderous applause, painting a huge grin on Feige’s face.
After the credits, the cast returned to the stage. Reynolds, visibly moved, called it an "emotional honor and a privilege to be standing here next to the X-Man (Jackman)." Jackman described the experience as one of the most incredible of his life, thanking Levy and Reynolds for making it possible to reprise his role as Wolverine after 24 years.
The celebration continued as the entire cameo cast, including Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes, and Chris Evans (introduced by Reynolds as the Human Torch), joined them on stage. An emotional Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman shocked Hall H at #SDCC by introducing the entire cast of surprise cameos from #DeadpoolAndWolverine.
Marvel Studios capped the night with a 10-minute drone and fireworks show over Petco Park, featuring formations of Deadpool and Wolverine, hinting at future announcements for "The Fantastic Four" during Feige’s Saturday presentation.
For now, Marvel’s focus remains on "Deadpool & Wolverine," featuring Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. Early projections suggest the superhero threequel could break box office records, potentially earning $160 million to $170 million from 4,200 North American theaters, possibly even reaching $190 to $200 million thanks to buzz about the cameos. Disney reportedly spent about $200 million to produce and another $100 million to promote the film.
Producers Feige, Reynolds, Levy, and Lauren Shuler Donner were joined by executive producers Louis D’Esposito, Wendy Jacobson, George Dewey, Mary McLaglen, Josh McLaglen, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Simon Kinberg. "Deadpool & Wolverine" is written by Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Levy.
