Introduction

YouTube is the most popular video platform in the world, with over 1 billion users and billions of views every month. It's also one of the most flexible platforms for aspiring YouTubers to get their content seen by millions of people.

But there are some things that beginners need to know before they start producing videos on this platform. If you're new to YouTube, here are my top 5 tips on how to make your first few months working on YouTube as successful as possible:

Being too vague.

Don't be too vague.

As a YouTuber, you want to make sure that your audience understands exactly what your video is about and what they are going to get out of it. This means not being too generic or broad in the title of your videos and/or in their descriptions.

If someone clicks on a video titled "How To Make Money Online" and finds out that it's actually just an overview of different ways people make money online (which isn't even accurate), then chances are high that they will click off before watching any further.

Setting up unnecessary partnerships.

Don't be afraid to make partnerships.

Don't be too eager to make them either, though. The best way to find a good partnership is by being open-minded and looking for the right fit for both parties involved (you and the other channel). If you're new on YouTube, it may take some time before you find someone who wants to work with you--and that's okay! You can always go back later when your channel is more established if need be.

Partnering with people who aren't in your niche doesn't mean they won't help grow your channel; in fact, sometimes it works better than partnering with someone who is in similar fields as yourself because their audience may overlap with yours and attract new viewers/subscribers who wouldn't have otherwise been interested in watching content related specifically towards one topic area versus another one entirely unrelated topic area altogether!

Not knowing what to produce.

Inevitably, when you first start out on YouTube it will be hard to know exactly what your audience wants. This is where experimenting and failing can actually be a good thing. You may not know what your audience wants but if you try different things and fail at them, then eventually something will work!

Don't be afraid of failure; embrace it as an opportunity for improvement!

Ask for help from friends or family members who might have an idea of what would appeal most to the people watching your videos (or even better - ask them directly!).

Choosing the wrong niche.

Choosing the wrong niche is one of the biggest mistakes that beginners make. It's important to choose a niche that you are passionate about, because if you don't enjoy talking about it, then your videos will not be interesting and engaging for viewers.

Also, avoid choosing a niche that will be popular in the future or one that has already been done before by someone else - this just means there's little chance of making money from YouTube ads since everyone else has already taken all of their audience share.

The other thing to think about is how narrow or broad your chosen topic should be: if it's too narrow (e.g., "how-to make pancakes"), then there aren't enough people interested in learning more about this subject; on the other hand if it's too broad (e.,g., "health & fitness"), then there will probably be too many competitors vying for attention within this category!

Giving up after a few months.

Quitting is a part of life. We all quit things at some point or another, and it's not always a bad thing.

However, if you're trying to make money on YouTube, quitting too early can hurt your chances of success. You have to know when to keep going and when to quit so that you can get back on track as soon as possible.

Let's take a look at some signs that should tell you whether or not it's time for a break:

5 things one needs to avoid if they want to be on YouTube

  • Being too vague
  • Setting up unnecessary partnerships
  • Not knowing what to produce
  • Choosing the wrong niche
  • Giving up after a few months

Conclusion

We hope this article gave you some ideas on how to get started with YouTube. It’s not easy, but we know that if you keep at it, you will be successful! Good luck!
