Are You Making Good Money on Vocal?
Does writing more equal more money?
Most people don’t write for the money on Vocal, certainly not. However, it’s great to earn some extra coins from your writing. I make more money on Medium to be honest here, but I’d still like to boost my earnings on Vocal.
I’m not making more than $50 a month here on Vocal, but it’s a great way to release my anxiety and get a few bills paid each month. Sometimes, I invest my Vocal income into stocks, and sometimes I purchase a course or use it to pay for Google or Facebook ads for my affiliate marketing side hustle.
What do you use your Vocal earnings for?
Anyway, are you making good money writing articles on Vocal?
I’m currently doing a challenge where I publish at least one article a day, but to be honest, I’m slacking. I haven’t been leaving as many comments as I had planned because you know, life gets in the way sometimes. I’m also posting on YouTube, daily, and sometimes even twice a day.
Right now, it’s my favourite place to post content. I just grab my phone, open the camera app and start talking about whatever comes to mind. It’s cathartic, and I can’t imagine not posting on YouTube.
What other platforms do you post on?
I’m on:
- YouTube
- TikTok
- Medium
- My blog
I focus on these for now, because I don’t want to burn out. As a digital entrepreneur and software engineer, I set at my desk for hours most days posting articles, videos, coding, and much more. I love what I do, and I can’t imagine doing anything else to be honest.
I know, most people don’t think about the money, they write for fun, or they write to release emotions. I write for fun, to release emotions, to add value, and for money because we all have bills to pay right?
Life is tough sometimes, but I always pull through. Right now, I spend at least an hour a day meditating and speaking positive affirmations. It’s a wonderful thing to do, especially when you’re feeling really down.
At the moment, I’m a little fed up with Medium, they pay whenever they feel like paying, and it’s quite disheartening. It’s very tough to get views and earnings over on Medium now because there’s a new boost system which means that you can’t go viral on there unless some boost nominator decides to nominate your articles.
Therefore, if you really want to make money on Medium, you have to put yourself out there. You have to go all in with promoting your content on, and off the platform. It’s a lot!
I didn’t start writing online to be glued to my desk. I started writing online for freedom. That was the ultimate reason why I built my first blog, why I write on Medium, and why I post on YouTube, but it’s started to feel like a full-time job now, so I’m taking a step back from posting daily on Medium.
Now, I post daily on YouTube because I love creating videos. I also post whenever I feel like it on TikTok. I spend a lot of time engaging on YouTube and responding to comments on my blog.

I have 65 stories and earn a few cents for now. Hopefully I can earn a dollar daily in the next few months.
Some excellent advice. I have a blog, YouTube Channel and am on Threads but that is about my limit. Thanks for this
