5 Proven Ways to Make Money Online

You’ve heard it all before: Making money online is easy, anyone can do it, and the opportunities are limitless. And while this may be true, most of these statements come from individuals or companies who stand to gain from your lack of knowledge in the subject. The reality is that you need to know what you’re doing in order to make money online – otherwise, you’ll end up wasting time and resources on tactics that aren’t necessarily effective or even legal.

1) Work From Home Jobs

There are a number of ways to make money online, but some require more work than others. For example, in order to become a freelance writer or blogger, you must be able to write well and build up an audience. This is challenging and may take some time. On the other hand, you could create a blog about photography and start making money as soon as your site goes live! Even if you don't have any experience with professional photography, there's no better way to learn than by doing it yourself. You can sell photos through photo sharing sites like Flickr and Smug Mug; offer prints on Etsy; or offer stock images on micro stock sites such as iStock photo.

2) How To Start A Website

The first step in making money online is setting up your website, which can be done with a few clicks of the mouse. The best way to do this is by using a domain registrar and hosting company like Bluehost, who offer robust solutions that are simple to install. In order to create your site, there are two basic options: you can either create it from scratch or use a website builder tool. Website builders come with pre-set templates, which means you don’t have to know how to code. There are many free ones available on the web and those on a budget may want to try Wix, Weebly or Squarespace. These allow you to set up an entire site without any knowledge of HTML. Once your site is built and ready for visitors, it’s time to make some content!

3) Affiliate Marketing

As one of the most popular ways to make money online, affiliate marketing is a great way for beginners and experts alike to earn extra income. Affiliates are paid a commission when they refer customers to the merchant's site. If a customer buys a product on that site, the affiliate receives an agreed-upon percentage of their purchase as compensation. It can take time to build up enough traffic (and profits) to attract these companies, but once you do it’s not hard at all. It can be tough at first because the process may take some time, but there’s no limit to how much you can earn through this method with a well-designed website. The best part about this is that you don't need your own product or service!

4) Writing Articles

Making money online is tough. There are a lot of scams and people out there trying to take advantage of you. I'm sure you've heard it before, but there's no best way or secret way to make money online. However, if you are looking for ways that do work, I'm going to share five strategies that have helped me make money online over the years.

#1 - Start a blog and monetize with Google Adsense or affiliate links. You can start a free blog on WordPress or Tumblr and add ads from companies like Google Adsense. You can also get paid by referring your readers to products through an affiliate link, like my post about how to make $25 per day from Amazon Affiliate Program. #2 - Create content as an expert in your field on platforms like YouTube or LinkedIn. The key is to build up your expertise as much as possible so that when someone searches for content related to your niche, they will find your channel first.

5) What About AdSense?

Many people think the best way to make money online is through Google AdSense, but this isn't the case. While Google AdSense does provide a quick and easy way for new bloggers to monetize their blog, it isn't the most profitable choice. One of the biggest reasons that blogging with AdSense isn't as good of an idea as it seems, is because you don't actually own your blog content! When someone clicks on an ad on your site, they aren't going to be looking at your site--they'll be looking at another website (the one where they clicked on the ad). It's up to you whether or not you want that happening.
