5 Cool Websites For Entrepreneurs
We know now that anybody can become a great entrepreneur. Some of the greatest business people of our generations came from poverty and many of them have little education to speak of. Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba came from nothing and worked his way to being one of the wealthiest men in the world. Like many others he succeeded through hard work, grit, and a little bit of luck. You can do this too but it is not an easy task. The early phases are often the hardest which is why you need to ensure that you have all the right tools to succeed when starting up.
Here are 5 cool websites and services that will allow you to start your business on a budget.
Cyberchimps
Even if you get most of your work and clients from freelancing platforms, you will need a website to represent your business. Cyberchimps offers a huge library of fully customizable Wordpress themes that are fast and responsive. This allowed me to build a stunning website that showed off my portfolio and helped convert my leads. Personal websites are very affordable and start at only $47 annually. Their selection of Wordpress business themes has a variety of themes that will suit just about every business.
GraphicDesignJunction
GraphicDesignJunction was one of my favorite resources for my clients and my own design needs. They offer tons of high-quality design templates in vector format absolutely free. Whether you need imagery for your website or professional looking business card templates, GDJ has you covered.
PropellarAds
Advertising your services can be expensive and time-consuming. The self-serve advertising platform from PropellarAds makes all this a little easier. They serve over 1 billion ads every month so you can easily scale up and optimize your campaigns. It’s quick to set up and easy to use but they also have support available if you need it. Google Ads are the default option for many but I find PropellarAds to be less time consuming and more affordable which is great if you’re starting out.
WishPond
Email marketing has been one of my favourite ways of driving sales and increasing the LTV of my clients. WishPond offers an intuitive email marketing platform with an easy-to-use drag and drop builder. It also allows you to get clear oversight of your campaigns with detailed and real-time analytics. What makes WishPond unique is that they have 24/7 support and you will have access to advisors and designers if needed. This can be very helpful when you’re starting your first campaigns.
Dropbox
I’m sure by now you have heard of Dropbox. This billion dollar behemoth is used by companies all around the world to safely store and share their files. Dropbox is extremely easy to and can be set up across multiple devices. Personally, I used this tool to send large design files to clients but it is also a safe place to store contracts, client lists and code. Even with all the oversized files that were stored, the free version was always enough for me. If you need to upgrade they have very affordable solutions starting at $17.50 per month.
Conclusion
Starting a business is hard, in fact it is the most challenging thing I have done in my professional career and it will take perseverance to make it through the tough times. When tough times are on the horizon for you and your venture, always remember the wise words of Mary Anne Radmacher “Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow.'”
