There are many reasons why one may need a side hustle or small business of their own.

I don't care what the reason is, I just know that I have been on the fringe of a mental breakdown, needing a side hustle or a business of my own that suited my needs and schedule. I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do, and I had countless ideas but few viable options. Everyone's circumstances are different - whether it be time constraints, transportation issues, needing to supplement family income, childcare restrictions, or whatever - having your own business means being your own boss and being able to work according to your own schedule.

Starting a business doesn't have to be expensive. So if you are wanting to take life into your own hands, but don't have a lot of funds available, you might feel like you can't possibly start your own business.

Well, you're wrong.

There are PLENTY of opportunities out there that can be a starting point for where you want to be. Business ideas that can start small, and eventually grow into what you truly want to do, and it doesn't take hundreds of dollars to start with. A few bucks, creativity, access to the internet, and determination can actually get you further than you think.

But first - a few disclaimers and 'should be obvious' statements:

To begin with, there are some things you have to have accessible to you to start a business that you probably can't skirt around, such as having transportation, a cellphone, a few dollars (though as little as $20 can do a lot), determination to do it, and consistency.

As with all things, from being a successful author to a successful business owner, everything you want to achieve must come with hard work. So let this be known this is not a 'get rich fast' article. These are all small business ideas that you can use to create a genuine business for yourself. And businesses take work and time.

These articles explain the basics of what you will need when starting the business, and how to get started. They are not in any way the full spectrum of what running a business is and what it contains. I am just giving you a starting point for something you can work toward.

So without further adieu...

Flexible Side Hustles That Can Lead To Financial Freedom

Dog walking/Pet Sitting

If you do it right, you can turn a side hustle of walking dogs into a full-blown business.

Garage/Closet Cleaning and Haul Services

If you have a truck (and/or) a trailer, you could have a pretty penny at your disposal.

eBay Old Items

This is a good side gig to have, especially if you offer item haul-away services! You don't pay anything until you make a sale, keeping you from having to pay any upfront costs.

Print-On-Demand Merchandise

You don't have to be a graphics design artist, and you don't have to sell clothing. And you don't even have to buy your own website. Much like eBay, it's pay-as-you-sell, and the fees are taken right out of the customer's payments.

Write A Fantasy Novel - Or Any Other Kind of Book

None of these writing platforms require a start-up cost. Much like Print On Demand merchandise and eBay, these platforms in which you can publish and sell your book do not require any subscription fees or membership purchases. And the platforms even handle your taxes.

Pro-Tip: If you are going to write a book you should do an Audible, and perhaps make a merchandise website with Print-On-Demand platforms. :) Way to have multiple passive incomes!
