Reading books is a really good way of learning and developing new skills to improve our personal and professional lives.

This list here compiles the highest recommended books among entrepreneurs and self-help enthusiasts alike. For best experience and to learn the most from all these books, it is advised that you re-read each book quarterly (every three months).

The order in this list is based chronologically by which I read first to last, I highly recommend all of these books and believe anyone would find them all extremely valuable.

Books:

  1. Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
  2. How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
  3. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
  4. Richest Man in Babylon by George Samuel Clason

1. Rich Dad Poor Dad

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

Number #1 best selling personal finance book by Robert Kiyosaki, Rich Dad Poor Dad was the first book I read to start my entrepreneur journey. It is a great place to start and revisit to learn each time and refresh the knowledge. After YouTube exploding with videos of Robert Kiyosaki for a week, I ended up coming across this book and purchasing it. This was the first investment that I made into my entrepreneurial knowledge.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is extremely valuable in understanding the differences between assets and liabilities, the fundamentals of starting a business and earning passive income, and getting into the mindset of the rich and entrepreneurs and business owners.

I highly recommend Rich Dad Poor Dad for anyone who wants to get started making money whilst they sleep and anyone who hasn't yet read it. You can get it from Amazon here: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

2. How To Win Friends and Influence People

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

This famous psychology self-help book by Dale Carnegie has helped thousands both personally and professionally. How to Win Friends and Influence People teaches, as the name suggests, the delicate art of persuasion, getting people to work together and cooperate, and making the best of situations for all parties involved.

Dale Carnegie gives examples of his own life experiences and famous entrepreneurs in history to demonstrate the principles proposed in the book. Each time you read this incredible book, you will gain more understanding and further develop your abilities in persuasion.

This book can truly change your life and help you see more success personally and professionally. Get it here: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

3. Think and Grow Rich

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

Any list of extremely influential books, especially about entrepreneurship, is not complete without this outstanding book. Napoleon Hill is best known for writing Think and Grow Rich, originally published in 1937. This book has been revised and updated for the 21st century but the fundamentals still stand true.

Napoleon Hill outlines his journey in exploring the journeys of many famous entrepreneurs including Thomas A. Edison, Andrew Carnegie (who he says inspired this book) and others. In Think and Grow Rich, he goes in depth into the lessons to be learnt and teaches the fundamental truths that stand the test time about becoming rich.

Another book that is best appreciated and learnt from when read multiple times. Get it now to read and keep so you can revisit it every few months: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

4. Richest Man in Babylon

The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason

This book tells the story of Arkad, the richest man in Babylon, and his teachings by request of the king to increase the wealth of the city. This is a story style teaching book set in the ancient city of Babylon where money is in the form of silver and gold coins.

The way George S. Clason takes money, and it's multiplication, back to it's most basic form really helps the reader understand from a simpler perspective and learn the fundamentals of putting money to work for you.

Great teacher of passive income, and all around amazing book: The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason.
