Meet : Todie Da Body

What's your name and where I'm from?

My name is Todie aka Todie Da Body. I was born in Detroit, Michigan. I grew up a hybrid Detroiter lol, My grandparents stayed in the westside and my mom eventually moved east when I was 11 years old. I went to Henry Ford Academy which is in Highland Park, from kindergarten to sixth grade. When I was in 7th grade I moved to East 7 Mile and went to Nolan Elementary School. I took the test got into Cass Technical High School and eventually got kicked out after letting my grades drop.

Why do you love what you do?

Although I'm very shy, I love entertaining and being the life of the party. Most importantly I just get to be myself and get to meet so many different people. I love the experiences, everything will be a great story and memories to take and tell my kids one day.

What makes you different?

I will be myself, no facades! I don't care what people think about me and I do what I wanna do no matter who's watching. A lot of people only do what they think people like and wanna see, because they're scared of judgment, causing them all to be the same. Authenticity is so important to me, and I think I'm one of that kinds of people that can't be replicated even with me doing the simplest thing, no one else can do that shit the way I do it, lmao. I'm that girl for real. It's in me, not on me!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I will be married and have a few more kids added to my family. I already have three little people, lol. My husband and I will be successful and able to give back to our city. Although I work full-time now, I see myself fully emerging into entrepreneurship, owning and dabbling in a multitude of ventures.

What do you want to accomplish in life?

In this life, I want to live out my sole purpose. Break the generational curses that are in my family. Fully become an entrepreneur and be great at it. I want to get married and stay married to my husband til death do us part. I want to live out the luxury lifestyle but in a healthy way. And most importantly I want to give back and help single moms. The government only helps us when we have nothing at all or we're in near-death situations and it's like it should be something to help before all of that. So I hope to be able to have a single mother foundation, that I will be active in frequently because I understand motherhood to the core of the highs and lows.

What do you bring to your industry?

A breath of fresh air, lol. I'm energetic, and as I said I love partying when it's time to. When. I started modeling I was looked at as the girl who only twerk and showed her body, but by the looks of it, that's what the people want. I did it not being told to do it, that's just my personality. My personality is the craziest thing you never know what I'm gonna do, but whatever it is I'm going to do it great every time!

What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be known for being myself and the businesses that I will create. Anyone that had a close relationship with me I want them to remember the advice that I gave and the love that I gave them as well. Lastly, I want to be remembered as the single mommy who made it happen and showed other women that just because you became a mom you don't have to give up on yourself and your dreams you can do it all, it's all in your mindset.
