The Influencer

Quote: Once you’ve learned something and do it, that’s when you’ve actually completed it (Rivoli, Chef David 2025, January 12).

I interviewed Chef David Rivoli on my talk show who is a chef, influencer, digital media content creator, promoter for teachers, and small businesses. As I learned more about him during th interview he become more interesting. Here is what Chef David has to say.

Where it All Began, and Where is He Now?

At the young age 7 he wanted to be a chef and started cooking independtly at 10 for others after going to see Ratatouille with his father. As he got older into middle and high school he loved being on camera, was very outspoken, and very extrovert. This is was the bridge from being a young adult to the successful Culinary Arts Influencer, Content Creator, and Digital Media Promoter.

Food is What Brings Us Together (Rivoli, Chef David 2025 Chef David).

The Process of Learning, and What He Has Done

With the support he got from his family growing up he continued his path by taking cooking classes at the community center, and he got his ServSafe Certification in cooking from high school at the age 17. However, he did not stop there: he took cooking to the next level, and went to Johnson & Wales earning a bachelor's degree. I applaud him that he continued his social media, finessing his craft in cooking, and then bringing one step further by doing good for other restaurants, schools, and small businesses/bodegas.

How We Connected

Fun fact the reason Chef David Rivoli and I even connected was because we share a liking to the Sugar Factory in Boston (everyone should go there at least once, but trust me you will want to go back). I started seeing his post, and then I looked into his profile watching his reels. As I watched them I realized this is someone I would love to have him on my show. He is very creative, professional, and real in the way he talks.

What Masterpieces Does He Create?

The foods Chef David Rivoli creates are various types of pastries like fairy bread poundcake, and snickerdoodles, including macaroons, and macarons. He makes different types of breakfast and dinner entrees, while exploring with seasonings. Although he does create and explore with pastries he is not a pastry chef, because of certain classes he did not take. His strong suits are Latin and Italian cuisines, because his ethniciy is Italian and Dominican. BTW he cooks all types of ethnicities Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Latin, Middle Eastern, and more

The JMAK Experience Interview: Mispronunciations of Foods

I thought this was great I saw an interview with him on the JMAK Experience I advise everyone to watch this https://youtu.be/fq1TseMRrrM?si=vw8SC17-N58l0O53 regarding mispronunciations on macaroons, or macarons. I myself have done this until I watched this. A macaroon is basically an almond or coconut cookie, and the macarons are a French sandwich cookie. If you want to learn more check out this link https://images.app.goo.gl/me9FDps5d3Gvogdk8 found on google. We also talked about another food that is commonly mispronounced being Gyros, it is pronounced is Yeh-ro, not gyro. He learned this on the Disney movie, Soul. Chef David says, if anyone says too much television watching is not good for you they are so wrong. He learned some of his words and their correct pronunciation, the path he wanted to follow, and what he does now by watching television.

Where is He Now?

Currently he is a line-cook at an upscale Italian restaurant, while being an events catering chef at a stadium where he preps and cooks for hundreds during game days and special events. He is a fomer Sous-chef (second in command), and catering chef (designs the perfect menus for a function or event). His career is extremely busy without all the extra tasks he does. As a young influencer he handles multiple tasks daily. I cannot wait to see where he goes next.

Also, he wanted to make note of a few businessess CHOP (Culinary HUB of Providence), Cracked on Thayer Street in Providence RI, Brew Grindz in North Providence, and all teachers, as well as, PVD Food Truck Events, Sugar Factory, and food markets.

I encourage everyone to check out his IG page https://www.instagram.com/chefdavidrivoli/, look for the link on his page in his bio, and look for his pepper app, where he shows various recipes and videos.
