Before we kick off our chat, Eboni, please share who you are with our readers.
My name is Eboni Stiff and I was born and raised in Miami, Florida (now living in Tampa). After high school I decided to further my education at the University of South Florida in the field of Social Work. After college graduation, I remained in Tampa and it became my new home. After working as a social worker with a Bachelor's Degree for five years, I wanted to earn more income so I went to graduate school and earned my Master Degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, Florida. While enjoying motherhood for the second time at 28 years old, I discovered a lump in my breast. I was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. My treatment would last for the next ten years. My treatment plan consisted of many surgeries, a mastectomy, reconstruction, chemo, radiation and hormonal therapy. During this time I could not work a normal job, so I started my Bail Bonds Company. This decision allowed me to work from home, meet the needs of several families, and receive the necessary treatments on time. Near the end of my treatment, I decided to become a real estate agent, initially to help family members with their tasks. After two years of being a sales associate, I decided to obtain my broker's license so that I am not limited in any way. Almost two years ago, I found myself fighting another battle, medical malpractice. I was within hours of losing my life and I am thankful to God that I am here today.

We're excited about your upcoming podcast, "Speak Now Never Hold Your Peace." Can you tell us more about its concept and what listeners can expect?
I am overjoyed with developing this podcast. Episodes will be geared towards inspiring, empowering, educating and uplifting anyone who listens. This podcast is different because I will be doing them in my pajamas and my guests will be in their pajamas as well. The pajamas gives us the opportunity to focus on healing the inside, forgetting about what designer clothes we have on the outside. My mother always told me I talk too much, lol. My voice is going to make a difference. Listeners can expect to hear stories from myself and different guests that will help them improve their lives. They are going to get me. I am so excited!
How did you come up with the idea of using your podcast as a fundraiser for small black businesses in different cities?
I know what it feels like to have a small business and a lack of funds. I will be traveling to different cities, doing the podcast live, as a pajama party. Vendors will have the opportunity to setup and sell their products free of charge (no vendor fee from me). Also, a portion of ticket sales will go to a small business in that city or an author who is in need of help publishing their book.
What cities are you planning to visit for the podcast, and how can local businesses get involved?
I plan to visit Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, DC and Chicago this year. Local businesses can get involved by following my social media sites where I will post important information (@ebonistiff), my podcast youtube channel (@speaknowNHYP), contacting me through my site iwillspeaknow.com or emailing me directly at [email protected]
Your story is one of tremendous resilience and faith. How have these qualities helped you in your personal and professional life?
I think my personal life is somewhat of a mess, lol. I needed faith to get through a divorce after 12 years of marriage, be strong for my children and believe in love again. Having a social work education background definitely helps with doing the personal work. I find myself saying, what would you say to a client who came to you with these issues, and I find myself taking my own advice. Professionally everything is beyond what I could have ever imagined. I wouldn't change anything about my professional life at this moment in time.
Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals for your various ventures, including your podcast, journal, and businesses?
Long-term goal is to help as many people as I can speak up and heal from trauma. I would like to see a society that is not afraid to say, yes this happened to me and I am ready to heal. I would love the podcast to be a tool to help fund small businesses all over the world.
Are there any new areas or projects you're excited to explore in the future?
I am looking to explore doing more public speaking engagements and possibly television.
You've achieved success in various fields, from social work to real estate to authoring a book. How do you manage these diverse roles?
God and Family. My faith in God surpasses all understanding, even my own. I can't explain how I do it. I just trust God that His will be done in my life and here I am. My family is my reasoning, some people would refer to this as their "why". I want to make my family happy every single day of my life. I want to leave a legacy that they will be proud of. Family alone is enough motivation to get up every day and keep going.
If you're looking to find your voice or need guidance on your own entrepreneurial journey, consider taking a leaf out of Eboni's book. Speak up, stay motivated, and remember why you started.
