In The Beginning There Was Dust
The opening adventures of Arazma Beetlebrush
It's difficult to say that Arazma Beetlebrush, the only real wizard, had a beginning point. Like many ideas floating around on planet Earth, in the early 2020s, truth came in many forms. That truth emanating as several different perceptions of events that took place when Arazma would randomly appear.
Those random appearances as events themselves do not really follow any particular time line. Much the case in the now. Multiple truths of happenings are invented and then re invented to suite whoever is interpreting them. So how did Arazma happen. When did he first appear? Does he exist in dimensions of time like the cosmos, possibly, or does he just exist when ever it suites him or me as the author. Is it in fact just a possible reality in my head?
Well none of those questions really have an answer. The words that you are now reading are the truths themselves of an interpretation from myself of how Arazma has manifested himself, wizard, in my conscious and into binary sequences of ones and zeros. The only real and perhaps possible truth is that it all started with a speck of dust.
In human thinking on the known planet Earth, several theories exist to how the planets emerged from the murky waters of the beginning of time. Not only were these events of substantial happenings but in all truth how can humans be truly sure. Humans were not there, there atomic structures existed as particles of cosmos dust floating randomly through time and space. Or was a religious event where world we know as earth was created by an omnipresent being. Well this is a fantasy story after all and any possibility can exist. It does not hold true to form how obscured that fantasy can be.
In Arazmas mind and therefore, mine, one common thread appears to exist in all metaphysical theories on existence. Empirical evidence is possibly true but all noumenon also holds sway. Therefore, what Arazma could see is what he believed. Although sometimes he didn't believe what he saw and his mind would play tricks on him and distort his memory of what he perceived in the first place. So, it was for told by the elders of mankind, no, not really, only kidding. Arazma believed that he was there at the beginning of time but in all honesty it could have simply been a dream after he ate some rather tasty but very wild mushrooms. Things often seem to appear different after he feasted on such things.
Therefore, the story of Aramzas big bump went as follows....
At the beginning of time there was only dust, floating around rather annoyingly as it often does finding its way in too all sorts of things such as random noses, room corners and under beds particularly. That dust consisted of lots of tiny dust that sticks together through, yes you've guessed it, gravity. You know that magical force that bonds all things together, even when you don't want it too. That dust gradually stuck together more and more until it started to form a range of habitable places such as earth and apparently Mars at some point in the trajectory of time. The planet Mars although now dead, according to recent space exploration, it was once capable of supporting life. However, the dust formed all sorts of other planetary phenomena from microcosmic planets to large stars, black holes and other entities such as gods and superheroes.
Nobody knows for sure and this includes myself and Arazma, if he was there at the beginning of time. However, for Arazma he vividly, I say vividly, I'm not sure he is capable of solid thought processes in his chaotic brain, recalls the major event happening. So how was able to be there before the beginning of existence. Was he the creator, an omnipresent being that started the whole dust shenanigans off.' You've got to be kidding, surely not.' We, that's me and Arazma, both exclaimed loudly. Well Arazma believed he was there. He can picture it in his mind's eye. So can any of us truly argue with such compelling evidence. LOL.
The thing about compelling evidence, well empirical evidence, you know, the stuff you can see, smell, taste, touch and hear. What our senses tell us. Well Arazma being a Chaotic sort of chap couldn't truly rely on the information sent to his befuddle brain from his array of senses, therefore, could he really have a grasp on any time of belief or reality. The nouemenon that existed in head was confounded by his poor short term memory although his long term memory was pretty good. However, if you take into account that is likely that he was there before existence, then he is pretty old and in turn his memory is full to the brim if not overflowing.
So it came to pass, (I like that phrase) the word was passed down from the beginning of time, from dust to ash, to amoeba and eventually to human kind and from there on through generation after generation to eventually its ended up here in this short story. The word was dust. Lots of it. Dust was the building block of all matter and life itself. Pure and simple then really, Dust. Well certainly for the time being until Arazma forgot and had to start again. He would then convince himself of something else and time and space would have to start all over again.
Lets hope he remembers, this time.
