In-flight safety videos that are fun to watch
Who said you have to be on a plane to watch an in-flight safety video?

This British AIrways in-flight safety video casually appeared in my YouTube feed. Yeah, sometimes the algorithm does those things. So, I watched it. And boom! I thought it was the best in-flight safety video I have ever watched.
British Airways: May we haveth one's attention (Safety video 2024)
Inspired by Britain’s famous period literature and starring 40 of British Airways crew members and other British Airways employees, the new British Airways onboard safety video was created alongside some of the best of British film talent to brief passengers on the safety procedures of the aircraft. The aesthetics, customes, and scenery are superb. The inclussion of the safety instructions within the works of literature is funny and clever. Even the use of language such as "locker" shows how words change meaning overtime. For writers who love British literature, this safety video is a gem, truly enjoyable, and the best way to pay attention to instructions that could save your life.
After that masterpiece, I wanted to see more safety videos. Yes, it had that effect on me. Truly effective, indeed. On the recommendations of the right side of the screen, I saw the one below, an Air New Zealand safety video featuring The Hobbit. The Hobbit! How can I resist? I had to watch it immediately. So, I did. And that's how I got addicted to watching in-flight safety videos! Yep. I know. Crazy, isn't it? I made a cup of tea because one or two safety videos only were not enough. You must watch this below, unless you saw it first flying Air New Zealand.
Air New Zealand: The Hobbit's flight
I've never been to New Zealand, yet, and I've never flew Air New Zealand. But this safety video was quickly competing with my already favourite British Airways one. This video included Hobbit fans, Hobbit actors including Elijah Wood, Sir Peter Jackson, Sylvester McCoy, Dean O'Gorman, Sir Richard Taylor, Naoyuki Shimizu, Taika Waititi, and Air New Zealand flight attendants who did an incredible job mixing seriousness with fun. And the scenery and costumes are fantastic!
I couldn't get enough from the Middle Earth and saw this:
Air New Zealand: Flight to Middle Earth
I found this Hobbit inspired 12-year-old Air New Zealand in-flight safety video which makes me think Air New Zealand was the pioneer in this type of safety videos with an enetertainment twist. And well, who doesn't love a good fantasy storytelling even if it's about in-flight safety?
Air New Zealand: Safety Hollywood style
I can't get enough of Air New Zealand's in-flight safety videos. I've never flown Air New Zealand, yet, as said before. To be honest, after all this, I really have to try to plan a trip just to fly Air New Zealand, wouldn't you? That's how much I love their in-flight safety videos.
In this video, Rhys Darby calls Anna Faris to be in the new Air New Zealand safety video. This was about nine years ago, but who cares? The result was a blockbuster production filmed at Warner Bros. Studio in Los Angeles. It included everything from suspense to drama to romance in Paris, and safety, lots of safety guided by two Air New Zealand crew members. Lots of fun in this one!
Turkish Airlines: Flying with your pet in the cabin with you (awww)
I never got to travel with Mr. Pupu Bunny despite all the research I did. I was too worried about his stress levels since he was a senior rabbit. Now I know my fears were my worst enemy. When I saw this dedicated Turkish Airlines video about flying with your pet in the cabin I thought it was really sweet to make a dedicated video about flying with small pets. Well done, Turkish Airlines!

I know it's hard to pick one. But what's your favourite and why? :)

This was such a fun read! I haven’t had time to watch all the videos yet, but I’ve saved them to come back to later because you’ve made them sound absolutely worth it.
