Why There's No Hope for Song With Me and Laycon - Whitemoney

Nigerian musician and Big Brother Winner has made some very interesting statements during an interview when asked about if he will ever do a song with fellow Big Brother winner and musician, Laycon. The revelation came when Whitemoney was on Gbagba Express and was asked about the possibility of a song between he and fellow Big Brother winner, Laycon. Here's what Whitemoney said.

The revelation started when Whitemoney was asked "Whitemoney, you're very busy doing a lot of other things. When do you get chance to hold biro and write song?" He said:

WHITE MONEY: These days we no dey hold biro again. These days we just record am for phone. Then when we come dey for flight, or where we dey that place wey we know say [we free], we go come perfect the lyrics. But honestly, any song wey I drop from now till the end of this year, I don record am down. It has all been recorded. Immediately I came out of Big Brother, the first thing I did was - I have a lot of features. I have major features. I have major collabos. I have song with Umu Obiligbo, I have song with Bisa Kdei from Ghana, their biggest highlife artiste. I have song with Duncan Mighty. I have songs! So immediately I came out, all those songs I've recorded them. I don voice them, I keep am. So now na just release I go dey release them with videos.

"Laycon, Big Brother winner dey do well musically. You sef, Big Brother winner, you dey do music. Any hope of say una go get any form of collaboration any time soon?"

WHITE MONEY: No oh! If I want to answer that question honestly: no hope! Because we no dey dey the same environment.

"So wetin you dey try to tell us now be say once you have your own Big Brother set, them no dey mix freely with a set before or after the people wey don come for the different editions?"

WHITE MONEY: I will not lie to you, that is just the way it is basically. There is no hatred there oh. It's only just hard - it's very hard now to see people that genuinely love you that came before you. It's just the way of life. It's just the way it is.

"So silent beef dey inside the matter? Because for you to talk no hope?"

WHITE MONEY: No hope because of say one, we no dey roll together! Two, we no dey talk to each other like say we dey talk like say we be guys guys. Three, maybe the other persosn sef no believe say I suppose be musician. Or me sef I no understand wetin this person dey sing. So there is no connection. So na make we dey go first, make we go see how the thing dey go.
