Why I Feel Alone - Maraji Explains Why She Doesn't Have Friends in the Industry
Maraji opens up

Nigerian content creator and skit maker Maraji has been very popular for a while now, and is one of the first female skit makers to have really taken off in the space. Then, and even now, one of the biggest things people noticed about Maraji is that unlike other content creators who liked to meet up to do collaborative content, Maraji seemed to always be alone. She was never really seen at industry events, or influencer hangouts. When skits were done with other content creators, she wasn't present and people in the comments used to ask "where is Maraji?"
Now, Maraji is answering that question and explaining the truth about why she doesn't have content creator friends and has always felt alone in the industry. Here's what Maraji had to say.

Speaking about why she doesn't have content creator friends and feels alone, Maraji said:
MARAJI: I've been very popular for a very long time but I have never felt a sense of community. I have always just felt like I have to post funny content and do what I have to do to continue my craft. But then on Youtube, I feel like I have a community, like I have people that are waiting for me. I can't explain it, but I'm so grateful. I have never felt any sense of community. As somebody who is an introvert, who has anxiety when I'm around people, I always feel very alone when it comes to the internet.
N. But the truth is I'm just a very anxious person. I just always feel like I'm not worthy of this celebrity lifestyle. Like I come from a very middle class family. I'm just not the one, and I feel so much anxiety comparing myself to other content creators who I feel like are more boujie sort of, I don't know. I just sort of get in my head sometimes. But it's just very nice to see that there are people who like me even though I am not very refined. It's just nice, honestly. So thank you so much for watching my content and engaging, and just supporting me because this is my own way of still putting myself out there even though my life has drastically changed. I'm so grateful that you guys are still rocking with me.
