During the interview, Bovi was asked "Do you get a lot of people who actually reach out and say they want to come back home to pursue a comedy career?" to which he said:

BOVI: I've never really gotten that kind of message from someone saying they want to come back to pursue a comedy career, but I have sat with a few. I told you I was in New York some days ago, and I met with this guy who does these videos.

The one I saw first that went viral was when the whole internet shut down—Google had this issue, and planes were grounded in America some months ago. You heard about that, right? So the guy did a spoof video, and he starts with saying, "Oh, the guy who made the mistake in the system, they've interviewed him."

You see it, and you think it's serious, and then when he starts talking, you'll be like, "No, this is a joke!" Right? Nigerian guy from Aba. He went to America from Aba, and the person who arranged the meeting was asking, "Are there any tips if he wants to come back here and start?" I said, "No, don't come."

"Why did you tell him not to come?"

BOVI: Because of the peculiarity of the job. I'm like, "We know you in Nigeria, people know you in America." And the reason I said, "Don't come," is because whatever you are doing there and how you are going about it is working. It's working, and it will still be the same thing here. Actually, it will still be the same thing. So don't think you're coming to meet some kind of structure on the ground that will say, "Oh, because you're back home, this and this and this will work for you better than it's working for you there."

The man in question that Bovi is describing is popular skitmaker Darrly Vega and here's the video Bovi was referencing:
