Today's subject is a very interesting one because it is a very divisive topic but also one that people can't stop talking about. It is on the topic of body enhancement, especially in Nigeria. At this point, it is not news that plastic surgery and cosmetic enhancements are on the rise in Nigeria, and not just in Nigeria alone, but also in the world. A lot more people are getting work done and many people who get these surgeries, especially celebrities say that they do it for themselves and not out of insecurity.

So, on the latest episode of the Frankly Speaking podcast, relationship expert and Instagram personality Blessing CEO who was recently in the news for her own butt surgery sat down with the interviewers to talk about cosmetic surgery and why a person who is confident would go and do surgery. Here's what Blessing CEO said.

While on the show, Blessing CEO was asked the question: "A lot of people argue that your natural body is good so if you're enhancing your body that's because you have insecurities or you're not a confident person. Because if you're so confident in your self the way that you are, the way that you look, what exactly is the need to go under the knife?" Blessing CEO responded saying:

That is a misconception. Confidence isn't about what you wear and how you look, it's who you are. It's a personality, it has nothing to do with your physical appearance. [Physical appearance] is cosmetic. Some people still have the big butt and everything and they can't look in the mirror. It has to do with the inner. First of all, before you do the body, you need to have confidence. There are a lot of fine girls wey no get confidence. You go see them, you go think "ah ah this girl get fine body" but she has nothing. Physical appearance is just a plus. Imagine when you now do your body, ahhh! Because for you to do your body, you still need that confidence to face them because they will still troll you. As pretty as Mercy Eke is, them dey drag am. Koko, them dey drag am. Koko has always been a confident person, even in Big Brother. So it has nothing to do with confidence. The ass is just an extra.

The truth about it is that I love to be naked right now. People beg me to wear clothes. I'm obsessed with myself. You know that point when you look at the mirror and you want to knack yourself, that is how I feel at this point. So it has nothing to do with anybody. Right now, I'm actually excited to want to even knack. Yes, because before, you know when you don't have flat tummy, there's some styles you want to do you won't be comfortable. But now, you can on the light, put ring light. On it! Before, it's television light you'll be using to knack, now it's ring light (laughs). So the confidence, if you had like 100, it has doubled. It has tripled. You will love yourself.
