"I can understand..."

23rd of July 2023 marked the beginning of the first all-star season of Big Brother Naija. Once the "All Stars" season was announced, a lot of people were very curious to see which housemates would come back to the house seeing that for so many of the housemates who left the show in the past, they always made it a point to distance themselves from the show saying that the show was 'toxic' and bad for their mental health.

Yet, despite that, and to many of us' glee, a good number of heavyweight Big Brother housemates returned to the show, including two past winners. Amongst the people who returned where Cee C, Pere, Alex, Angel, Ike, Tolani Baj, Venita, Mercy, and Whitemoney. Since the premiere of the all stars season, a number of people have had a lot of things to say about the housemates who got back in the house. One such person is popular media personality and avid tweeter, Omojuwa, who slammed the all-stars for going in saying that even he wouldn't go back into the house. Here's what he said.

Taking to Twitter, Omojuwa said about the Big Brother All Stars season:

OMOJUWA: I can understand why the likes of Erica, Tacha, Tobi, Bisola etc couldn’t make this “All Stars” edition. They don’t need the fame. They already played for that & continue to sustain it. You’d have to pay them a sign-on fee to keep them from their busy engagements for 70 days!

Responding to his tweet, a user named Tunde Ademuyiwa said "I agree. People that are truly busy won’t be happy to get locked up for 70days. 120m wey no sure" to which Omojuwa responded:

OMOJUWA: Even me wey no be celebrity, I can’t be locked up for 70 days for a 1/20 chance of getting N120m.

Finally, another user named Omolara said "They pay All stars in the US version and the longer you stay the more money you get! An All star shouldn’t come back without proper terms and thts what Tacha played for." to which Omojuwa responded saying:

OMOJUWA: Matter of fact, that your “all stars” agreed to come back for basically the same thing they agreed to before they were known is an indictment on the institution and its products.
